When all of your flaws and all of my flaws are laid out one by one
Standing in the shallow water Hollowpoint gave a brief shake of his dark coat entirely nonplused as the other two finally came down to join him. He splashed back up toward the heather-gray man, smiling his trademarked lopsided grin with tail wagging gently behind him. As he passed both sets of two toned eyes followed him as he trailed deeper in to the water. Astrid waded into the shallows beside her brother, staring after him as those words floated back toward them. The white woman half turned her nose up at the idea of fish, though she was an equal opportunity carnivore as they all were, fish would be counted as one of her least favorite meals. What followed his statement however brought her ears to a full perk, tail rising slightly in interest. The idea of being able to take down such large, powerful prey sparking every instinctual feeling she had in her stout body. She nodded her heavy head, “I would be willing to lend my strength should they accept it. Perhaps you could point us in the right direction at the end of the day.”
Her brother merely rolled his eyes, never one for the quiet patience and dedication that a true hunt required. Instead, as his sister finished speaking, he tromped in to the chilled waters after Sleekwing splashing about and causing a ruckus. “Well lets show those fish a thing or two,” he called over the sound, scouring the clear water for the tell-tale flash of fins yet stirring the way entirely too much to be useful. He had never been a good hunter, his actions far more dictated by pleasure than necessity. Back in the shallows Astrid scoffed aloud, “You’ll never catch them that way,” she called, far too familiar with her brothers antics to hope that he might have a chance at catching anything.
Hollowpoint however had other plans. He put on as if he was chasing a fish, darting in the water to and fro closer and closer to Sleekwing. A sly glint passed over his face as he grew close before finally dipping his large head in to the water before slinging it upwards again, splashing a large wave in the gray’s direction. A barking laugh followed the water as he danced away.
