aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

She was back. The image of chocolate and cream stalked the brush whilst anxious eyes scanned her surroundings looking for life. Her ears stand alert, the silence being penetrated periodically by the familiar sound of nature fluttering above her head. The wind had settled on the girls return, no breeze helped her handle the warmth she felt burning the skin beneath her heavy cloak as she took in the familiar sights and became more and more enveloped by bitter sweet memories surfacing from the depths of her open mind. She was home, or was she? Did Aurora Borealis still count as home even after so much bad had come to pass? Akina thought of Sin, her trusty alpha of a time long ago when life was simple and very little mattered. Akina had her family at the time, her children being young enough to still need her care and watchful gaze. At that time, the multi toned lass hadn't grown grey through worry for her young for they were constantly at her side and even on the rare occasion that they decided to wander, they always asked her first if they could venture a little further than usual. Those days were easy, simple and enjoyable.. Those were the days before Titan decided to re enter her world and turn it upside down.

The blood and darkness engulfed soldier, the father of her children had returned to her after being told she and his children were dead. All hell broke loose on over at Saw Tooth and it was there, Akina and Titan came to know the truth. The vixen was very much alive and Titan had infact been grieving over the loss of his family, not fathering another litter and loving another mate as Akina had been told. The very memory made her feel sick. How could anyone in their right mind lie about such things? It was horrible and uncalled for. Akina had never hurt anyone so why would the she wolf, Zira, make up such lies? Ofcourse, Akina found out in the end just what her motives were but could those motives alone drive someone to hurt another in such a way?

Her mind was beginning to stray and she fought hard to focus on the scenery in front of her, anything to push past memories to the back of her mind. They weren't needed and would never play a role in her future, but she couldn't be rid of them either. Her heart sank at the thought of Titan. The masculine soldiers face when she told him she was returning to Blossom, the sadness his eyes exposed when she spoke of wanting to go back, and now she finally had. It was inevitable. Blossom Forest had been her home for as long as she could remember and those that resided within its simple existance made it all the more home. Speaking of which..

Akina came to a halt, her nose twitching, catching the brief scent of another canine close by. Her heart fluttered deep in her chest and she could feel it beating as if it was about to burst out any second. She would know that scent anywhere, it was imbedded in her mind, her heart, her soul. Kong was still here. A smile danced across her pretty features up until the foreign scent of another mingled with that of his. Knowing the other scent was male madce Akina sigh with relief. Kong was never hers nor was she ever his, but the thought of him with someone else.. It wounded her inside. She didn't like it, but the cold stabs of jealousy were strong enough to cause confrontation if necessary. She shifted her weight forward, taking gentle steps across the soft terrain until the two masculine figures came in to view. The foreign male, she had never seen him before and yet he carried himself importantly, like that of an alpha. The thought made her nervous, if that was the case and a new ruler had come to Aurora while she was away that would mean she was currently trespassing. The anxious thoughts quickly left her when her soft brown gaze landed on that familiar canine in the near distance. She longed to run to him, even if he hadn't yet noticed her. She wanted to feel him, be close to him, feel protected by the monster she was so certain existed within him, and yet she never feared for her life.

Akina toyed with the idea of running on over there, calling to him or anything to catch his attention. No doubt by now he knew she was there. He was clever, nothing got past him. She smiled at the thought and continued to watch him with soft, affectionate eyes until his happened to lock with hers. She could wait all day.. No, make that.. Forever.
