S h a e Moving so fast I’m forgetting my purpose

As she lay lounging upon the earth, a mouse ran past her, quick upon its little paws, but she was faster. Her large pads surrounded it and she could feel it wriggling beneath her. It was almost… ticklish. It was amusing, too. As it trembled beneath her, she could feel and smell its fear. It’s tiny teeth tried to bite her but her pads were too calloused from constant travel, so instead it merely ended up tickling her more, causing a giggle to erupt from her chest. Only when it stilled, resigned to its fate, did she let it go free. Hopefully it would now be a little bit smarter now with learning of a single lesson – never give up. Fazed, the mouse hesitated for but a moment before disappearing off into the grass nearby. Smiling, she raised her orbs to the sound of approaching footsteps, not bothering to rise her body from the earth. Still, her mind lingered on the little mouse. She was just like he – trapped. She had a single path in life and no choice but to follow her father’s laws and rules, and therefore had limited free will… but it was gladly that she followed his will. It meant she not only would remain alive but would be backed by his power should she ever need it. It was a favor she dare not ask too often, saving it for when she truly needed him. He would not live forever, and when he died and her… offspring… took over, she would be free. Her prison door would open and she would be able to live however and wherever she wanted. But was that too far? Was she wasting away, destroying her life? What would be left of her when her father finally loosed his hold on her? Was it enough to merely survive?
That was why Shae was still here. She hoped that, in the end, this would be her home. Not this pack necessarily, but Blossom Forest. There were others of her kind here, others she could relate too. Pure ones. But, more than that, it was far from him and everything he stood for. That was why she was starting to build her network of informants now. She could be quite… persuasive. Her looks were exquisite, and her charm got her far. But that was merely her surface façade. Beneath it she was darker and lighter. She was harder and softer. She was a conundrum wrapped up into a sweet little attractive package that usually got her everything she wanted. It was complicated… hell she was complicated. Who was Shae, really? When her father was gone and she was free to just be herself, who would that be? Akuji was a damaged killer who was secretly a jealous romantic bigot. Harries was a sadistic nymphomaniac. Who was Shae?
The continuing footsteps neared her and stopped, but a voice filled the void of silence that they left. Hello miss. I am Summer, alpha of these lands. What brings you to Bright Moon. Her charming grin painted itself upon her maw and she raised, stretching out before him. “Hello, handsome. What took you so long?” Nearing him, she deftly crossed the border with a single paw, looking into his eyes to see if he would stop her, and when he didn’t, she circled him, running her plume under his chin. The entire time, she studied him. “My name… is Shae.” Her voice was really more of a purr. “I have got to tell you, Hunny…” She had finally made her way full circle and faced him once more, outside of his territory. “… it is remarkable that none of your siblings look remarkably similar.” Winking at him she sighed, shifting her weight until she got comfortable. “I have news for you, sweetling. And you likely aren’t going to like it. So what would you like to hear first from my perfect, beautiful lips that you haven’t stopped looking at? The good news… or the bad?”
