For all intents and purposes, he at least seemed quite happy. She had always been a positive wolf in her own right but she had also had enough experiences with those with much more reserved personalities to know that, sometimes, her optimism could be overbearing. For now, though, they seemed to be on similar wave lengths and for that, she was glad. A willing student was the best kind of student and truly, she was flattered he had come to her. She had been especially reserved these last few seasons, after all, so it was pleasant to know somebody had not forgotten about her and what she knew - of course, that worry was likely unfounded but... that was just how it went.

She erred for a moment when he spoke of the two options, her brows furrowing in quiet thought as she contemplated which was more likely to occur. After all, it was difficult to say - he might have been better off learning both skills but they had to take one step at a time. Bleeding was a common issue (even she had experienced it during her previous labors) and the possibility of losing a child before it was even able to walk? Well, that took a whole new method. That was equal parts physical and emotional. For now, she sighed with a decisiveness before preparing herself mentally to begin. Bleeding. That would be their best bet. If anything, at least Swallowbane would be able to handle that while she dealt with any whelps.

"What do you know about managing bleeding right now?"

She queried with a tilted head, lowering to be seated before him as he did so. For now, they'd begin with the basics. After all, he had likely encountered his own wounds and blood in the past - what had he done to help stifle that bleeding? Then, when she was sure he had thought at least about that, she grinned kindly once more and dipped her head before she began to speak once more, her voice gentle and yet firm.

"The first issue is locating just where the bleeding is coming from. Inside or outside - outside is the most common. The blood will be much brighter in that case and the small much less offensive. Of course, many women will instinctively know and if they are able to tell you, it is best to trust their word."

She paused, giving him a sheepish grin as her ears flattened slightly in what almost seemed like a little bit of embarrassment.

"I take it you have no reservations getting close to a woman in such a state?"

Well, it had to be asked eventually.
