News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

By now her belly had grown to stretch the skin past it's glossy shine and the pups within created a mass of pain that often roiled within her gut. They were a comfort for with their bodies pressed deep inside of her Natu could save them from any foreign being with malicious intent. Indeed even Fenrir had been protective of late, hovering nearby constantly, and Natu basked in such dotage. Even when her hormones made her wish to snap at his black legs and tell him to sit. In those moments she would suddenly smile brightly at him because with her age a wisdom had come - she recognized those feelings for what they were and shoved them away. She focused upon the happiness that blossomed when she was snuggled into the obsidian side of Fenrir, breathing in his woodlands scent and bringing her meals constantly. The children, their children, left her with a ravenous hunger. Of all the things about pregnancy, she thinks, she will enjoy her first true meal after birth knowing she would be finally satisfied.

Yet they had finally come to the day when all roads would converge or depart and it left Natu with a sinking feeling. She walked close to him and he close to her. They were like planets, gravity pulling each other closer, and she made sure to brush his side a few times with her wide belly to calm her own nerves. Natu did like to think well of those she met, though she reserved suspicion of a few in life. Fenrir had made choices long ago - choices that reverberated back to this very moment. Choices that might affect her future upon the mountainside. Yet had she not made her own choices to lead to this moment? So she steels herself and calms her nerves with practiced breathes. Daenery's was her friend even if she was Fenrir's opposer, and she too had her own troubles to deal with. She had seen the belly of her Queen growing every day and had fretted some over it for she knew, simply knew, that the brief interlude of Leonidas had left a lasting imprint on Daenery's and Natu felt a motherly instinct for the young ruler. She would have no one to help raise her own children except that of her family and perhaps, Natu thinks, her Queen would see why Natu wished to have the father of hers firmly alongside her.

She keeps moving, so immersed in her thoughts, that she does not realize Fenrir has stopped until he speaks. Mention of Sven immediately sets her ears back as she flashes her icy blue eyes to her mate. A hint of unease lies there, within, for it was true. What if none of this turned out as she hoped? What if she was forced to choose between the mountains she loved, the son she had raised, and leaving them behind to create a family with Fenrir? She had thought long over it. Asteraia, she knew, would welcome them with open arms. She knew a scant few there, but it would sadden her to have to do such. To leave the peaks for the flat lands, to leave her friends although she could make new ones anon, and to have to even ask her son to leave his home, a home she had stolen him to, to come with her. Yet that is not what she wants, truly, for the idea of her and Fenrir ensconced in her den on the mountainside is set firm in her mind.

But what must be done must be done, she affirms once more, stepping back towards Fenrir and nuzzling his face calmly. Calm - she has learned how to create an illusion of calmness. She had been through much in her life, this was yet one more hurdle to jump over. "Do not fear, Fenrir, or fret. If things do not mend then I will do what must be done and Sven may choose his path. He has done so before," she answers with a small smile, sorrowful at the memory of him and Everchime. "I believe he will understand and perhaps none of this needs to be worried for either way," she continues, her face impassive once more. Really the only way to know was to seek out Daenery's and so she would. She steps back now and turns, glancing at him briefly, before she presses on a bit further into Spirane and into the woodlands. He can be seen easily from her position waiting on the outskirts while she lifts her maw and calls, a long loud call for her Queen.
