Everyday Ankh grew just a little bit more. A bit more taller, a bit more thicker, and with each suckle at Natu's tummy she fell asleep sated and happy after hours of endless play with her brothers. They were all so much bigger than her and she cried sometimes when they played a bit too rough but momma always gently reminded them to be careful with each other. It was difficult sometimes to not bite too hard, her tiny bottom teeth barely sticking out from under her jaw, and she got frustrated when she couldn't immediately latch onto her mother's belly without some wiggling and munching. Momma and daddy were always gentle with her and so very loving. Yet there was an adventurous streak to Ankh that couldn't be controlled, her body always filled with a massive amount of energy and she was constantly trying to start play between herself and the boys.
At the moment she was bored for everyone seemed to have fallen into slumber. She sat on her rump eyeing them with pale eyes, not quite blue and not quite green, trying to decide if she wanted to pounce on Alexander to awaken him. Or maybe Alistair of Arthfael? Finally she begins to roll to her small paws, an eager smile on her dark face as she decides - why not all of them? Start with one and leap to the others. She would be so good at it that she wouldn't touch the ground between them! Not once!
Now she lowers her forepaws, tiny butt wiggling in the air and tail zipping back and forth while she readies herself for the perfect moment to attack. Yet a sort of befuddled cry catches her attention, her ears turning as she lifts out of her play with one paw raised in the air and cocks her head to the side. What was that? No, who was that? Mother hadn't let them leave the den yet, not even when she saw other wolves passing by, but it had piqued her curiosity before. Now she had to know. She peeks a head out suddenly, glancing from left to right at the darkness of the dens until she spies a small figure charging to a glaring white light. The outside. That is what momma called it whenever daddy left. To go to the outside world.
Her jaws part in surprise as a breath of air leaves her. That girl was as small as her! No, she thinks, she is smaller. If SHE could go outside then certainly Ankh would be fine too. Casting her head back to peer back in at her brothers she grins in a naughty manner before bouncing out of the den on quiet paws. Unfortunately she manages to trip over one paw and fall with her chin to the ground and an audible oomph before a puppy growl erupts. It is immediately hushed for she fears that her mom might wake up and tell her to get back in the den. Back on her paws she rushes to the entrance not realizing that Vlad and Semele now both block the entrance, and her chest runs right into the girl. She topples head over heels with another oomph before turning a glare on the pair. "Hey, watch it!"
