It had rained last night and the boy had awoken to a slightly damp den, the rain had also made the smells of the world around them more profound. The boy stretched the stiffness of sleep from his limbs, after all sleeping on the damp shelf doesn't necessarily make one nimble. 'Oh well, it’s part of living a life as a loner.' He mused to himself. the wind carried the scent of more rain, so the dappled boy figure he'd get some exercise before huddling back into the his temporary den.
Dark clouds rolled over head as Nanuk decided to take a stroll along the riverside, moving at a comfortable pace he wandered through the tall grass which tickled along his undersides. The wind that gently played against his dappled pelt became slightly harsher as he broke free of the gassy cover. his thick coat fluffy and soft very similar to that of a pup, while it was clean trying to keep it neat was an impossibility. A dark form sitting along the banks staring towards the storm howling off in the distance, soon came into view. The boy's ears perked in curiosity as he approached male. "Good morning stranger, how are you today?" He said with a friendly smile covering his maw. "Rather stormy out today isn't it?" Nanuk, himself never thought much could come from a conversation started on the whether; but who knew, maybe he could make a friend here. Allies were always a good thing, and personally the boy believed he could use more.
