Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Things don't always go as we plan them, Riopat and I should be used to this sort of thing by now, unfortunately we are not. That's not to say we weren't prepared for this to happen. Tess had sent me to Diveen with his daughter to keep her from her partner over the long cold winter season, at first I had thought only of the job at hand as just that a job but the partner had wanted to come and a word battle had ensued, I did not want to take the two apart but I understood that the two were just to young to start a family and so I had buckled down. Taking the princess to Diveen ment that I was away from my Riopat and thus the pain of heart ache had rippled through my body for long enough so that when spring had come I had brought my charge back to Glorall during the night.

It was as I returned the princess to Tess that I hear a familiar howl laced with pain, "I am sorry to drop and dash Tess but she needs me," I bid the duo fare well and dashed for our island home. I didn't even stop at the laters edge but dashed with quick steps across the water to the sandy shore on the other side, I stop for a moment when on solid ground to hear another howl this one longer and drawn out. I can't wrap my lips around a reply as my paws take to movement once again and take me to the den site. I skid to a halt as the last pup is born and she lays her head down to rest, I sniff all around her face, knowing they need their rest but nervous because I smell lots of blood and hear the sound of tiny pups movements.

"my love..." I had thought I had told her of my task but perhaps I had seen only the job and not what I should have. "Is there anything I can get for you?" the morning light begins to shine through and spread its rays upon the pups of cream and red, they all carry a bit of both parents and I have to crack a bit of a smile "they are beautiful my dear, you've done a very amazing job" I say puzzling her nose with my own.

"this is how he speaks"
