At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

_________________________________________________________________________ Anger coursed through the russet demoness’ veins. That bastard had left her. Noone had left her before, but then again she had never felt an inkling of affection for anyone but her old mate. And now that fucker had decided it would be a good idea to sneak off and never return. To leave her alone. Well that was fine with her. The warrioress did not need anyone in her life, she did not rely on any other being but her own. And she never would. Sure she had grown to tolerate the brute that she had shared her den with, but did she ever love him? No, of course not. Valkyrie had never loved another being, and did not plan to. Love was such a useless emotion. It made lupines act foolish and then whenever one got heartbroken they would become a useless, miserable thing. Something she would never let happen to herself. But anger was something she was not a stranger to. It was a common emotion that the russet female felt and she would often let it control her. Just as it was doing to her now. The rage pulsed hot and fiery inside her as she ran through the trees. Her powerful stilts carried her effortlessly through the trees, weaving through the lands that she had recently been living in. Valkyrie had traveled to Blossom with her, now ex-mate, to try and steal away the family that should have been hers by right. Her damned daughter had escaped her when she was only a pup, and when the female had discovered that Apollonia was pregnant she was determined to take what was hers. If her daughter thought that they were out of her life for good, she was very wrong. Valkyrie was even more determined now to steal away at least one of the pups that she should have been involved with now that her mate was gone. A snarl escaped her features as she continued to run through the trees. That bitch thought she was safe in her little pack, but she would wait and find the perfect moment to steal her precious babes away, just as Apollonia had been stolen from her. She would continue to play the part of mournful mother that had lost her precious daughter, instead of the abusive sadistic demoness she truly was. As the gears in her head turned she was not paying any attention to where she had wandered off to, but frankly she did not care. The female paid little attention to boundaries and never felt restricted in where she should or should not be, she merely did what she wanted. With her chest heaving from her running she supposed she should stop and rest for a moment. Her pink tongue fell from her maw as she panted, slowing down to an easier pace as she searched out a source of water to quench her thirst. Her audettes picked up on the sound of what seemed to be a brook or stream, and she directed herself towards it. It only took her a few moments to reach what she had known to be called Staircase Falls. Valkyrie leaned down to drink, lapping at the cold water in between patches of ice in the stream. When she had drank her fill she stood up, licking her muzzle as she turned towards the trees, wondering what she would do with her life now. OOC: Sorry it’s a shorter post, will get better when Carnival comes in, and even if her post makes it seem like she would be a terrible pack wolf, once Carnival comes in she will submit to her and be loyal to her first and only pack, I promise <3 she just needs someone to boss her around a bit for the first time in her life and be put in her place ;) ________________________________________________________________________ |
