It seemed like the scent of the bear's guts would never truly wash off of him. In all honesty, it was probably far gone from his black and white fur, but somehow the scent still clung to his nostrils. It had been a hairy fight resulting in two deaths- two of the brothers that had called Asteraia their home for quite a while. They hadn't been "members" officially, but Vincent generally considered them as such. Even though the brute could be a madman, he was no sociopath, and seeing Lyse's family left without a father tore him up inside. She had her imprint, but he doubted that it would be the same for the pups. They were old enough to know what had happened. Hell, some of them even
saw.
Vincent snorted. He had come out of the pack to get the fight out of his head, not dwell on it. And besides, there was something happier to focus on. The brute almost visibly brightened when his thoughts changed from the bear to that of his imprint. Ever since they had met at the lake he hadn't been able to stop thinking about her. She was always running through his thoughts and he could never catch her, it seemed. Feelings were... confusing, and Vincent wasn't sure what he wanted, exactly.
But he did know that he couldn't stay away from her much longer, and so when he caught her scent, he wouldn't have been able to veer from it had he even wanted to. Vince's ears gave a small flick as he heard the rumble of thunder in the distance. Though he didn't share Spirit's love for storms, he had to admit that there was something wonderfully horrifying about them. They were raw, and he liked raw. Lightning and thunder he could deal with, but what was scary was the female currently sitting beneath the sky.
Vincent trotted through the forest, powerful strides eating up the ground, nosed pressed to the forest floor. She was close, and he could feel his excitement at seeing her grow with every single step. It was funny how she brought out this sensitive, happy side of him- because up until now, that side had been largely nonexistent.
He paused and lifted his head up, fiery eyes spotted the slight break in the trees. Toothy grin on his maw he made his way into the small clearing. He cleared his throat before padding up next to her, pausing for a moment.
"Hey, Spirit." Vincent said in a quiet voice, giving a few small wags of his tail.
"Mind if I watch with ya?"
