Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

newborn - vera x yojimbo - no heart - no soul - iromar

Leave it to Belhara to trail her wherever she went. Najira did not mind; in fact, if anything, her pitch black sister was her shadow and together they were an unstoppable force. Let all of Moladion fall into the lull that there are no true Demons remaining, and let them fall into their false cradle of comfort until the day the young Demon sisters are all grown in their glory. But there is no rush for it, and so calmness is a thing most evident in her varying blue gaze. Patience was such a very important thing, and even if her Mother did not view it so her Father very well did. And while they were wolves of two completely seperate worlds- they were wolves of the very same soul, and that was enough for Najira. She would learn from each parent in turn, giving her all that she would need her in life; and with Belhara at her side, there was no where she could not go and conquere.

The other that accompanies them this day, though, she is a stranger and the little chocolate brown wolf does not yet know what to make of her. She is a small wolf, similar to Vera and Yojimbo, though where they are both mostly dark this wolf is mostly pale. Black and white she is, and though the sisters have thus far been raised by Demon code, they have also been raised by the stars. As much as the regal and pridefull fill their blood, so do the soft and gentle voices of the stars. And that allows them to look easily past the predjudices, past colours and where one comes from. It also allows them to be weary of the wolf simply because she is in fact a stranger- something, someone unknown and perhaps one to be weary of. But unlike Belhara, Najira is not one so quick to jump to the defense and gnashing teeth. She watches instead with easy, intelligent and thoughtful blue eyes so unusual for one her age. At the simple questions of the stranger, she considers them, these words, before making any indication of a reply. Silence hangs between them, and though Belhara makes her appearance then along with her voice, her sister is not distracted from her own words.

"What she says, it is true." As well as inheriting his demeanor, the daughter of Yojimbo had also picked up some of his speech patterns, enjoying for herself the way they rolled of her tongue. It showed in the way an amused and entirely innocent grin adorned her features, so very different from one that would befall her Mother. But the girl was young yet, and perhaps in a few years she would know more what sort of smiles lay in store for her. For now, she was content to lean a rich chocolate shoulder into a stark red one, for she knew her sister to be just beside her. Unlike most siblings, they did not quarrel or have many a dispute- they worked together instead, successfully and efficiently to surpass all those around them. Granted there were not other children within the swamp, other than Raven, but the older girl was hardly in their tier of.. tierness. They had been born not even a season ago, after all, and furthermore neither had had much interaction with any other wolves beside their parents. The wolves of the swamp enjoyed their solitude, and as their den was in a rather hidden area, they did not see others often. The open forwardness of the stranger was something else, and she found herself wondering if all wolves were like this or just this one.

Belhara was much more like Vera than Najira ever would be, and this also attributed to the smile still upon her features as she watched the scene unfold before them. Speaking again, her voice is unlike her sisters- where the mostly black wolf is testy in her tones, the mostly brown wolf is curious and thoughtful, though with a small strength that would be ever growing. "It is not, easy, either, to be born of Demons, and the stars." Let the stranger dwell on that, if she thinks that two young children being away from home is so very not normal. Being normal had never been a matter of concern for either wolf, and in showed in the way they stood side by side, both staring down the older female in their own way. It was a wonder to how the stranger would take them both in, attitude and all.
