A few times in the process of her administering her 'medicine' - which was all done in a particularly violent sort of manner - she caught a glimpse of orange eyes flashing vibrantly against the dark and light of his fur. What really happened to him? She ponders this as she thrusts her wide paws into his chest, no doubt bruising tissue in the process, and finds a satisfied smile coiling across her lips for a brief moment when his body jolts and nasty water spews from his lips. Ravenna lifts a paw as she steps back, eying him to see if he would start yowling and whining about his predicament. Would someone have pushed him into the river? She can't even get a clear scent from him; the river water had done a good job banging him up and wiping away whatever identifying traits she might use to figure out where he came from.
Finally he was sucking in lungfuls of breath and she was quite proud of herself that she had managed to expel the water. However, that pleasure immediately dissipated when he opened his orange eyes, fixed them on her, and told her he didn't want to be saved. Threw all her work back in her face and for a moment she stares down at him with a look of surprise before her grey-green eyes cloud with her inward fury.
"Are you stupid?" That is the first thing she demands as she moves to stand right over his head. She could tell he was taller than her but Ravenna was a bulky, broad creature in much the same fashion as her father and she never felt threatened. In fact, Ravenna was known to do the threatening, as she had done with Levi as pups.
I wanted to die. Now her eyes narrow at him but she falls into a pensive sort of silence. It lasts for only a moment before a smirk, decidedly vicious, plants itself on her face and she leans her maw down close to his ear.
"Then I guess you shouldn't have washed up on my shore." The words hold no iota of sympathy for him despite his coughing and hacking and general abuse to his body. Then she flicks her tail in a prim manner and turns around to her sack, nosing into it before pulling out one of her Butterbur plants, roots, stem, and flower intact.
She sets it right in front of his muzzle and smiles at him, eyes daring him to challenge her.
"Eat that. It'll help your muscles relax, stop the swelling from all those wounds, and help with your coughing spasms. Doesn't taste half bad too, I think, unless it is forced." Oh, he would get the hint as she glares down at him, quite enjoying her powerful display because she figured it would irk him.
"Then you can tell me why you want to die and why you figured jumping into a river was the best way to do it. I'm Ravenna, by the way."
