Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Why she couldn't even manage to leap at something was beyond her. Of course she did know that it was her own fault. If Fjallraven had been raised right she would be a glorious thing to behold. Cute, angelic, and capable. As she was not then she was a litter of scars and unable even to support her own meager frame. It was tragic and sad and pitiful, but she tried hard not to think of those words when Magnus was around. He hated it when she grew depressed - even more so than how he hated everything else about her. Still, she could manage to look past all the other stuff because she learned he was a natural grump BUT he was a grump that had saved her. As such she owed him a lifetime a debt that grew everyday with each new meal he caught and fed to her.

Even in her prone position she can hear the squeal of the hare that she had went after then the audible crunch as its life is squashed. If she was not so close to Magnus's den then she might have grown alarmed - the scars on her body had managed to instill a sense of fear of the unknown - but no one ever came around here except that Viora girl. Fjallraven usually just hid in the den when she did, becoming one with the wall. She felt like the girl wouldn't look kindly on her pathetic form.

Fjallraven turns her head to the side so that when Magnus pops out he sees large ears framing her slight head and golden eyes watching him with soft gray lining them. They drop down to the hare and pheasant hanging in his maw and her tongue darts out to cross her lips, drool beginning to swamp her mouth as she rolls over and pushes up as soon as his paw nudges at her. Fjall jolts forward like a newborn colt before regaining her feet with a sheepish smile, knowing he was disappointed by his look but unable to stop the happiness of having him here and the wag of her tail gives her away.

She wilts beneath his lecture for only a moment before stepping forward, her nose eagerly touching the pheasant, knowing how tender it was the juices it contained. "It wasn't my fault, Magnus, I tripped over... OH LOOK!" She darts back to her pinecone now, tail in a frenzy as she picks it up and drops it down in front of him and dead animals with pride. "Look what I brought back. Doesn't it smell delicious? It will be good for the den for this winter," she says, nodding as if she has done something amazing.

"I will try to learn to hunt too. With you teaching me I have to learn," she says, her voice still somewhat innocent despite what has been done to her, believing the best of Magnus. "Will we eat first or hunt first? I can store them in the den while we hunt if you want," she mutters, eager for a task that might please him and looks up at him with her wide eyes, large ears, and inquisition face.
