Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Things had changed a lot, maybe even too much some days. She had tried to tend to her father for as long as possible but as expected, he insisted on trying to regain some independence. Besides, he had said, she had her own life to worry over instead of his. She had Sinclair and her own presentation to worry over. What would she do now with Glorall in the hands of somebody else? It had always been her dream to make her father proud, to take the reins of being a queen, but now she had to accept that maybe, maybe it wouldn't be so easy. For whatever reason, their new leader seemed like the kind of foe she did not wish to face off against. It was likely just her inexperience talking, she supposed. That had been why she had cornered Sinclair, practically begging for him to teach her how to at least defend herself effectively. She never wanted to see any part of her family in her father's condition again. It would be hard to see to them all now that they had seemingly scattered but... she had to at least try.

She had roamed into Glorall eventually, encountering their leader just as briefly before leaving once more to compose herself. It was not as if he was overtly cruel, she simply felt uncomfortable. Anybody would knowing just how much damage their alpha could do to somebody else. Had this been how her father's usurpers had felt? Or at least, how their families had felt? It didn't feel good. She hated it, but it was life now. Still, some time away would not hurt and so, she had headed north towards the fields. It was always nice there and with winter coming, she wasn't so sure how often she'd get to see it after the first snow. It'd be a good way to get her bearings straight again, and as she entered into the tall grass and broke the tree line, she already felt lighter. She even sighed in relief, taking several moments to pause and really breathe in the fresh air. So, not everything had changed. At least there was that comfort.

At first, she merely meandered around the fields, poking and prodding at the occasional tuft of grass and searching all over for some kind of interesting scent. It kept her busy enough; she had been born with too much energy, a ceaseless thing that kept her moving seemingly constantly. Even as she stood still, her ears swiveled and her nose twitched, constantly on the hunt for something to do or somebody to see. It was only natural that she spotted the female crossing the sandy shore then, seemingly hesitant about the ground beneath her. For what it was worth, Cersei had excellent footwork thanks to having been raised on the shores. She couldn't help but smile, bounding towards the river and the stranger. It was like her own tiny piece of Glorall, just this time she could at least pretend like it was still her father's and still totally unchanged. She breathed a sigh of relief as soon as her paws hit the sand.

"It's strange, isn't it?"

She asked the other, though her voice seemed to float in the wind, a question to herself as well. Now, she stood some several or so feet away from the woman, looking her over briefly before having switched her attention to the sand. She lowered her nose to it, sniffing at it wearily; it wasn't quite the same. The water here was fresh, not salted, but it still felt the same at least. She could feel the granules in between her toes, wiggling them with as the sand crunched delightfully beneath her weight. She felt... a little strange herself, really. It had been so long since she had tried to make a new friend, or even talked to another wolf. Everything had just been so chaotic during the fall and now, she wasn't so sure how to ground herself in that moment alone. She almost felt like a child again.

"I always wandered where this sand came from. Nobody's ever been able to tell me. That's strange, don't you think?"
