Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Throughout it all, Sinclair had been her rock. Somehow, he seemed to keep his composure - in turn, it had helped her retain her own, at least to an extent. There were still some days when she felt like doing nothing more than chasing her father's scent to the ends of Moladion so she could hide behind him. Change was hard, and adjustment had been a longer process than she had anticipated. Things were just... different now. She had been trying to look at the positives but they seemed difficult to grasp - at least, she figured, she did not need to worry about finding her father in such a state ever again. Still, she wanted to be proactive. She wanted to make sure of it. What would she do if she was ever in that situation? Or Sinclair? Sure, he might have been able to do okay but having her to support him... it'd surely be helpful. It would be good to learn - hard, yes, but good.

She had spent her morning preparing, running through the motions to calm her nerves. It'd be awkward in a sense - awkward to fight against Sinclair, the one wolf she really didn't want to hurt. She imagined he'd feel the same way, but she just had to hope he'd be able to put it beside him (she would have to, too) so they could make some progress. Part of her wished her sister would be there with her but Octavia had been missing once more. Cersei supposed she had ventured off again. Probably. She had been for so long before, so things probably didn't impact her as much. She felt like a fool for not knowing. It kept her awake all morning as she lay in their den, slowing her breathing and trying to think things over. What did she know already? Not much, not really at least. Just the pure fundamentals, or at least those that were utilized in hunting. She could not help but sigh beneath her breath.

When Sinclair moved to stir her, her eyes were already opened, though she peeked up from beneath her tail with a weak smile. "As ready as I'm ever going to be," she replied, stretching out and following him from the confines of their home. It was as good a day as any to learn; the skies were clear, though there was a certain chill that lingered in the air. Winter would be here soon. She almost shivered at the thought of how cold it could get on the shores - at least her training would keep her warm. That brought out a more genuine grin as she tailed behind her mate.

Eventually, they must have come to his chosen spot. He turned and reached out to her, a gesture she returned eagerly as she breathed out once more in preparation. She couldn't help but roll her eyes a little playfully at his comment, though, making an exaggerated movement before she stretched out her back and legs. She wouldn't admit, but she did feel instantly more alert after several moments of preparing herself. He didn't need to know that yet - keep him on his toes, she figured. After all, this was as much for him as it were for him. It was not pleasant to think of all the work he had to put in again just to prove to their new leader that he was good - she could vouch for him, most of the pack could in fact. It was just one of the many changes.

"Okay, let's get started. I promise I'll go gentle on you."

She jested, wiggling back into a crouch with her tail waving. It was a serious thing, sure, but she wanted to at least try to have some fun. It was good to let the stress out, and it was just a bonus that she'd also be learning from it too.
