Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

The thought of belonging to a place was actually a bit suffocating. She hadn’t belonged to anyone, or anywhere, ever. She had always been a free roamer, which had pissed her brothers off, as had her taking off and being used for more than one thing in her life, leading to the scars that crisscrossed around her neck, and all long her legs. When she was having a good hair day, no one ever saw them. And today was one of those days. So to anyone just passing by, she looked feminine, fluffy, and just, sweet. Just thinking the words made her want to puke. She shook her head, gray-gold eyes watching the world go around her in such slow motion. Winter made her feel like that, that the world was in such a slow motion that there wasn’t anyway that anyone could speed it up.

She had heard through the grapevine about the whole, imprinting process, and truthfully it sounded pathetic to even think that something so trivial as ‘fate’ could control who you found yourself with, or that they could cause you to loose focus of who you were. It made her sick to think that it would make a male go nuts like that, but then again, the thought of just being a female controlling a male just because she was who she was. It made her chuckle.

The sound of breathing drew her attention, her eyes narrowing as she shifted, her gaze tracking the grass as it began to move. So, she wasn’t alone after-all. A sly smirk played at the corners of her mouth before she relaxed, visibly giving off the impression of a helpless, effete-like. She shook her head once, before letting her face fade down into a character she hoped she portrayed well, the loss, hopeless female.

I let my head jerk upright, a flash of ‘fear’ flashing across my eyes as I look at the much larger male before me. It was a bit of a rush, wondering what he was thinking of me at that moment. I knew I looked the part, it was whether or not he actually believed it.

wh-What makes you say that?!” her voice floated across the open airway, a soft, airy sound that was purely feminine, completely the opposite of who Renai really was on the inside. She let her duo toned eyes watch him with a slight curiosity, not enough to overpower the fake fear that she had plastered all across her face. Oh, she couldn’t wait to see this through to the end.
