Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

And I plan to be...

Nzingha had bitten her lip as Shae had leapt away until it bled, a thin stream of crimson marking her dark pelt. Inside she was hopeful that everything would work out as the kalak had promised it would, but in her mind she was more logical, knowing that there would likely be issues. Nothing went smoothly... her real father and daughter were dead. Shae had shared with her things that she had shared with neither of her siblings, giving the reason that Nzingha was an old soul and more mature than the others. While the eboness was still a pup... she more stoic than the others. It was not to say that she did not have emotions, she did... but she was logical. Slow to act, quick to think. Always she was one step ahead, planning for the future and for whatever may come her way. And so, as soon as she had learned that she was going to be separated from Shae, she had moved to the corner of the den and assessed how she felt and what it would mean. The adult had mentioned words like 'game' and 'fun'... but there were not true, merely descriptions meant to calm the emotions of her siblings. No, this was no game, but a war plan. A strategic planning situation. Thus, the pup had realized that she had inherited one of Shae's strongest and perhaps most secretive attributes. Strategy. Shae meant for Nzingha to be one of her pawns, which unfortunately was something that could not be avoided, especially because of how affectionate Nzingha was toward her adoptive 'mother'. But Nzingha would use Shae as well...

So she did as she was bid, waited silently without a whimper, a growing anger and stubbornness fueling her through her tiredness. And then approaching footfalls pulled her attention and her ears pricked, focusing upon them. Toward her strode a tall brute, many times over her size, who nearly came upon her yet not a sound did she make. He looked like a brewing storm coming to destroy the land before him, but as soon as his orbs fell upon her, he calmed, dissipating and a deep gentle voice tumbled from his maw to roll into her auds. Hello little one. What's your name? I'm Summer, alpha of this pack. Do you know why you're here? You'll be safe here. This was the moment of truth, the moment where the Game began, the beginning of the rest of her life laid before her.

Form starting to quiver in faked nervousness, she glanced up at him, her yellow eyes piercing him. "Because you are to be my daddy. The nice lady said so. But she also said your my uncle, so I don't know how you can be my daddy if you are already my uncle." Slowly, she uncurled her form, her odd pelt revealing itself, her main frame a mixture of dark and light grey, but her face, limbs, and tail were pure black. "So which are you?"
