He decided to try something new when he requested a task from the New Leader of Glorall. Haziel had to ponder for a time about where he should go, who he should talk to and what should be asked and said. He met with Semele and that pleased him to no end to know where her family has gone, and perhaps that might have driven the large brute to go to the mountains rather than any of the other lands. Haziel knew better than to go to Asteraia, obviously they would find the changes favorable, so he already narrowed down my list to Spirane, Taviora (which had far to many trees and he didn’t see that as working out well for him), Diveen or Iromar. Diveen and Spirane he thought would be the most interesting and had a lack of trees for him to meet with face first, so he started towards the mountains that Semele and her mother, Everlyse, now called home.

Winter was an annoying time for him. Everyone said it was quiet and tranquil for him it was filled with noise of snow crunching and lack of scents making his journey not the easiest task, particularly since he had never ventured there before. Perhaps he should have asked Alcmene to guide him, she was a kind girl and was very nice and seemed to, well not understand, but accept his blindness without question. It may have been their bond, but whatever it was he was grateful. But no, pride made him drive forward without help; he found a river and knew if he would follow it eventually it would lead him to its source. The mountain pack of Spirane.

It was longer than he would have liked with a few mistakes along the way, but he had found Semele and she had taken off back home by following this river, he knew he had found the right way when he made it back to where they had met and thankfully going back home would be much easier for him than getting to the borders that were thickly laid with the scent of its Queen. Seme was worried that maybe she wasn’t nice, but Haziel had heard good things about her. She was at least agreeable and hopefully words were held true. If he wasn’t mistaken he believed the Queen was also Aunt to his imprint, not that it mattered though it was a fun fact to play with in his mind before tilting his large black head back and letting out a deep bay that called up the mountain for Daenerys, and maybe Everlyse if she was around.

Really he didn’t want to go in further without some sort of guide, mountains likely would not spell easy traversing, even more so in winter, for a wolf who had no idea what the terrain was like. He had survived in Diveen for sure, but he had young siblings there, his parents watching carefully over him. Now as an adult he didn’t have those to guide and watch him, nor did he want it. He would figure it out. He always did.

For now though he would wait standing patiently holding a very neutral posture, if not for the fact he didn’t really know any other posture, and waited to scent anyone coming near. He would surely hear them and smell them before they even seen him and it was something he counted as a blessing at time with his blindness a hyperawareness that would prove useful should he use any techniques learned from Malina. Time though. Time and patience he had both, there was no hurry.
