Ame had been exploring a little more on his own since his mom taught him about the other animals. Other animals could be mean or nice, most seemed to like his mother though, but not him yet. They still scared him and ran him off when he came to close on his own. That was what happened just before he had seen the two rather colorful boys walking through the pack. He had stared at them for a time, remembering his grandfather, Azrael, and how his father’s side and more obviously with his grandfather and his siblings had such types of red marks. His grandfather’s weren’t as grand as one of the boy’s but the color was similar and it was obvious that Ame was related to them in some way through his grandfather he just didn’t know how. That curiosity let him to follow the two boys. They were loud, louder than he would ever be at least. The silvery boy stayed hidden mostly peeking out of bushes like the foxes and bunnies did when they went around looking for their own food.
Once he was at the borders of home he had paused but he saw they kept going. He wanted to make sure they were okay, like his mother did with the foxes, deer and mice. He wanted to make sure like his momma would. So he stepped over the borders following behind the two boys, listening to them talk but not really hearing anything they were saying. It took quite a bit of time before he seen them finally pause. He really hadn’t noticed how far from home they had gotten. He really hadn’t been paying attention the whole time he had followed. The two boys were pretty easy to see in the brown foliage that was on the ground and the lack of trees with their brightly colored pelts. Ame blended in fairly decently with his greys and browns, the sparse white even helping a bit more than that. Every once in a while he would trip but he was fairly far away making it hard to notice when he took a not so graceful fall.
They were holding relatively still then and there wasn’t a lot of cover anymore, he kept himself low to the ground behind a few scattered rocks and brush following them along until he spotted the two girls in the distance. His ears fell back against his head. Bright blue and golden eyes watching them as they finally came to a head. The girl that spoke was very loud and said they were on another land. Were they? Oh no, his Dad told him not to go into other peoples lands, did the other boys know? He didn’t want to go further though. He took an uncertain step as the silvery boy spoke, they were facing away before he tripped letting out a little surprised yelp before flopping over. He pulled himself back up and into the nearest bush spying on them though certain he had been detected.
Ame wasn’t sure though, they seemed pretty distracted, and so far the two boys were okay but Ame had to be sure. They were like the foxes and rabbits everyone had their place and everyone had to be looked after even if they purposefully sought out trouble like these two boys had been.
