Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

We laughed at fate and mourned her;

With winter came the need to travel follow the prey. Typically she haunted the Grotto, but lately food had become scarce and so did her privacy. Somehow her daughter had been able to follow her scent and she had caught her child’s scent within the intricate inner maze within the caves. Not to mention her other half dwelled within his own cave within the Grotto. Now that she was tied to another soul once more the need to stay alive and keep herself out of harms way only increased. When she attacked the charred wolf she did not feel anything tell her to not eat and kill the she-wolf. It was when the younger male shoved her away and protected her meal that she felt a violent tug in her mind, pulling her away from the anticipated brawl, telling her she must stay alive for the sake of her other half. It felt unnatural to be unable to attack the younger male and yet she could not deny the need for self-preservation – even though the intruder didn’t have enough experience to survive her. Tonight the ghastly creature traveled within the shadows keeping herself hidden from any other living creature as she strolled for her second home. It had been awhile since she last placed her paw here and yet her memory was far too good and she was following the path quite easily.

Massive paws would step over the rocky terrain as long limbs carried her agile frame up the rocky trail. Her movements, although swift, were well calculated. As she climbed up the crags she seemed more focused than anything to get to the top. There was a reason why she chose this secluded area. For as hideous and ugly she was with her appearance, her damaged soul had the ability to appreciate the finer things – like beauty. As the silver rays of the moon casted an almost ethereal glow around the Monster it provided her a light source as she managed to climb over the massive rocks. Eventually she would find herself padding towards a small entrance in the side of the mountain and without hesitation she barreled through. As she moved through the tunnel she caught the stench of badger, rabbit, and fox, but she hardly smelled another lupine – just a faded one of her own. As she continued to travel in the dark she could hear the familiar deafening sound of water descended from a high plane – nearing the secluded waterfalls. As she emerged from the mouth of the tunnel her azure eyes would widen, as she adjusted to seeing the water reflecting from the bright light of the moon, pleased to see that here little haven hadn’t be ruined. In front of her was the massive waterfall the mountain she had just climbed hid from the world, the massive waterfall having massive amounts of water travel down fast and eventually settle in pools before they gave way to smaller waterfalls.

Inhaling the air deeply her eyes would close as she felt her scarred form begin to relax. Quietly she moved closer to one of the ledges that allowed her the opportunity to see everything below. The light spray of the waterfall would slam into her ebony and grey pelt, but she did not mind such a thing. Pleased with herself she would allow herself to sit, her tail curled neatly over her paws, as she soaked up the silver moons’ rays. It was nice to get away from everyone and everything. To hide from the world, the very individuals that could never understand her. Here she could think and be free without having to worry who saw her. She was fighting to stay away from her other half, even though her soul screamed in agony from being far away from him, this was a needed thing if she was ever going to try to release herself from his clutches. The every idea that her once soulless body now carried a soul was a difficult thing to understand and more so to accept. There had to be a way where she could make herself indifferent when it came to staying alive on her other half’s sake and how she would accomplish such a thing she did not know. What she did know was that she was hidden, secluded from the world, and she would attempt to allow herself peace, before she felt the familiar growl in her stomach that would make the secret Monster leave her sanctuary and hunt down an innocent victim.
