Having a gut feeling was a big part of survival. It was ringing alarms through him now that he couldn't place, and he did not like it. It was unraveling all the good that this place made him feel in one fell swoop, and none of that made any sense to him. Yes, he already knows he needs to avoid this girl -- he can feel that she's trouble and that feeling only builds -- but there were pieces to this puzzle that Riot had not yet figured out. That level of unease from someone so connected to the alpha might become more of a problem than he could deal with here. He wanted to understand this one, but thus far there was nothing more to go on than a gut feeling that was making him wary.

He hears what the girl was saying, but he doesn't need to respond to it. She was commenting, and there was no need to get Pan in trouble for allowing him to be this far in beforehand if that was indeed a grave mistake to be making. He would not pull the golden male down to make any kind of point. The girl certainly was not worth the trouble, and he would not tolerate hearing her castigate Pan for allowing him within borders. Considering her place, he wouldn't say a thing. She speaks again and he still keeps silent; he isn't needed in her conversations and so he keeps his voice to himself on these matters. What he had been seeking Daenerys out for had changed in these past moments.

All of it had changed. There was nothing to do now but wait, and he does. He lets his gaze linger on everything around him, and maybe he already misses it. But if he ignores the gut feeling, it would probably be back to bite him in the ass later. The mere fact that he knew how messed up this situation could be was astounding, maybe, but he had known someone in a similiar position before. Lifestyle choices had started a fight and created an accident, and the poor chap got castrated before ever knowing what a female's touch was even like. Not really a folly that Riot wanted to fall into. Some risks weren't worth taking. Maybe that would make sense to no one here, but that wasn't his issue.

The girl spoke again and Riot looked at her carefully. Already putting words in his mouth, altering the truth of the matter into something dangerous, and Riot wants no part of that. This was how it started, and he was not going to do this. "The first should be obvious by what I've told you, and I never said she offered me the spot. She told me I would be good for it. I would still have to prove myself through tasks. Twisting words is a bad omen." He replied gravelly. She had sullied his intents simply by saying such things, and Riot knew how it would go next. Still, he would tell Daenerys the news himself. It was only fair, after all. But he still wasn't feeling good about discussing it in front of the girl.
