Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

There's a change in the air not long after everyone jumps in and I feel my anticipation amping up again. This is it. I manage to grab the fin and I hold on as tight as I can, pulling back, trying to anchor the seal in place and it seems to work because I don't feel him moving forward anymore. I can't see around him to see if the wolves at the front are making their marks but I see Warlow on the back of the seal's neck. The seal's head goes up with a big roar and I latch on even tighter, not wanting to let go until he's down and not moving anymore. As he starts to slow though, I have a feeling it's close and only when his great head hits the sand do I release the fin and look up to see where everyone stands for injuries.

I see Alcmene first and she looks so excited. I feel the energy charging through me at her wagging tail. I see her licking at the corner of her lip and I give her a concerned look, not sure if she needs to see a healer or not. I guess it doesn't look too bad. Warlow looks unharmed but I see the blood trickling down from Solitaire's eyebrow and I scowl in concern for my brother. He doesn't seem too phased though. Frostbite seems to have a big bite though and I agree in my head when Alcmene tells her to get a healer to look at it. When Alcmene turns to everyone asking about dragging the seal back, I bark in agreement and nod my head before grabbing onto whatever bit of fat I can to help drag.

We reach the borders finally and I find myself panting by the time we release the seal. Still, I feel more energized just knowing that we brought down such a massive beast. I find my brother's gaze, my eyes twinkling, happy that he could be a part of this. It's nice to have family again. As Alcmene and Frostbite lift their voices to the sky, I throw my own muzzle back, letting my own song join theirs in celebration.
