She knows. The child whose hearing has been stolen does not need to listen to know that her mother is bringing new devils into Asteraia. Gehenna had witnessed Jaidah's belly swelling as winter continued on and even as it began to wane the womb of the Night Mother grew to a near bursting point. The child knew that the time was to come soon and she would not be missing the ceremonious coming of her new siblings.

Most older siblings perceived each new litter to be a threat - more competition for attention, recognition, and dominance. But Gehenna did not fear the realization of these little parasites for she knew her place and it would always be above them. She is oldest, aside from Widow, and she will teach them to be just like her. As she makes her way through the snow laden terrain of Asteraia she finds her mother's trail and picks up on it immediately. She knew little of the secretive den site that Jaidah had found just on the cliffs of the pack's shores but she realized that's exactly where this path of blood and mucus was taking her.

Teal and black eyes are alert and watching for any sign of a threat as she knows well even at her young age that monsters are drawn to those in times of weakness. Gehenna is ever on watch for her family and when she deems the site clear she continues down the thin pathway that leads to the rocky cavern.

She is as silent as an owl gliding upon the wind although she would not know it; it is a natural gift despite her adversity. Her eyes tear through the darkness of the hanging night to find the shadowed form of her mother resting peacefully within. A soft whine is breathed from her muzzle to announce her arrival as she sniffs at the air thickened with the odors of birth. She inches ever closer, careful to watch her mother's head for any sign of retaliation at her closeness in the case that she may snap. But she just barely gets a glimpse of the nursing children before the scent of another wafts in on the sea breeze. Her head cranes to the entrance as her hackles rise and a low growl is emitted, eyes staring intently toward the open night.
