Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

The night had turned into dawn once more. The fields were lit with the light of a new day, and the demon's own sunset eyes scanned the open field intensely. He was a man with a mission, with a woman whispering in his ear with her ghostly and maniacal voice. She seemed to be everywhere, watching from the shadows and biting at his heels. Some would say he was in a constant state of psychosis, but it was simply the constant draw and need for his imprint that clung to his very being every day. He could not escape her, even though he felt the severed bond. It was...odd, as he craved to feel the bond as a whole again. It was like she was there, and yet not. Something that words could never really explain.

And it drove him to the fields on this day. It drove him to find what he thought she wanted. He had his chance before, an he would not let any chance slip from his teeth again. His heavy black paws carried his muscled body though the growing grasses turning green once more. His fur did not have the same sheen as it once did, nor did he have the same domineering stance as he once had. So many things had torn him apart, and even his body had suffered over time.

His dark muzzle lowered to the ground, sniffing intently as he moved slowly. He sniffed every spot with great attention. The sun was spreading more and more as he searched for that scent once more. That scent would never be forgotten. He had smelled it with Rogue on that day so, so long ago. He knew the child still lived, so small and unworthy. That is exactly why his nose inhaled over and over, attempting to find him again.

He drudged on, and would explore the field in its fullest. He would get closer and closer to the land called Diveen, and he cared not that he ventured towards it. He would not go into the lands just yet, but he knew it was there. He feels his muscles tense up and his blood hued hackles raising slightly. He felt that he was getting closer...and regardless, he would continue until he found that creature he was looking for.
