I am quite content with sitting on top of my rock within the middle of the swamp. It is flat, it is large, and it provides me some extra height to look over the reeds and actually see the critters that bend and move through the reeds. My intense deep violet slits scan the area as my crimson trimmed ears rotate atop my ebony skull. For a creature born from the swamps my pelt and paws remained uncaked with the bog and mud. I have figured out the best routes to move swiftly and quietly through the swamp and lately I have been venturing out of Iromar most of the time. I enjoy watching and observing the other packs and even speaking with them. I feel as if I am tearing down those stereotypes about the wolves that dwell in Iromar. Let’s face it ‘Here be Demons’ is pretty much a flat out lie. I mean there are hardly any left. They come and go and barely ever stay. They keep to themselves and not once do they do anything that is meant to benefit anyone in the pack. I know I am considered a Demon, now that I am the adopted daughter of Andras, and whether anyone will recognize that or not – does not matter – it only matters to him and me. I am proud to finally be able to have a parent. My very own did not care for me and I know Andras says my real Father did…it is simply hard to believe when he was never around. Yet he has fallen ill and even his presence is no longer here. Perhaps I was meant to never have a parent.

As I lie upon the rock allowing the sunlight to warm up my obsidian and russet pelt I cannot help but notice my vision is much better than before. My limbs are much stronger now and I’ve been able to wander around the swamps without having to take a break or rest. Sen has done a fine job with me. Yet even though he is gone now I miss having another’s presence close to me when I sleep. I crave the feeling of someone having concern with me. I’ve never wanted or cared to have attention before, but now I think I do want some of the attention. Not enough to make me feel as a Princess, but enough to make me feel as if I matter, as if I have a purpose. Is that such a terrible thing to want? I enjoyed having Starfall with me within my den and I meant to tell Avery and Aithne about him and his presence. He hadn’t meant to trespass, but because he is a member of our woodland pack I am sure they wouldn’t mind…but really I should have said something. Yet right now I am happily lying upon my now designated rock quite content with myself. I will hunt later I think. My appetite has grown and according to Sen I will need to eat a lot to gather up all the lost strength, fat, and muscle. I will need to do all of these things if I am to go to Taviora and bring our yearlings along. I need to be fit to protect them and to get them to Tavoria and Diveen. I hope that another from Iromar will come. Avery and Aithne will need to stay here. Perhaps I could take someone that was willing to be a diplomat? I shall have to ask my Alpha later, because right now I allow my thoughts to carry off about the white male with the oddly colored eyes and the ebony and crimson male that too had oddly colored eyes that seem to make an appearance within my dreams.
