News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

a song of ice and fire

fire made flesh; and fire is power
The boys stand shoulder to shoulder, the wind tousling their fur, though none of them seem to mind it so much. Together, the wind stands no chance against them, for each brother stabilizes the other if need be. Even so, they have grown large enough in this, their fourth season, to withstand such natural forces as wind. Rhaegal called out to the stranger, who looked up at them and gave reply. Viserion grinned, having thought the reply rather obvious. His brother should have been more specific in his questioning. "Well, Spirane is the only range of mountains in Moladion. I do believe my brother meant to ask whether or not you quite meant to be within the pack lands, and if you did, if you were looking for someone or something in particular." The blonde boy's words were meant only to be informative, his tones melodic and friendly. The silvered boy came then to sit before them, and Drogon stared down his nose at the smaller pup, keeping his silence as his brothers exchanged words with this interloper. The concept of alliances and visitations were still somewhat looked down upon by the largest of the trio - what need did they have of those beyond the mountain, when the greatest of all wolves lived here? Someday he would learn.

Hyrule gave answered Viserion's question, introducing himself and stating his reason for being within their borders. This was not the first wolf of Diveen that the white fringed golden brother had encountered, and a vision of Ambrosia's friendly facade flashed in his memory. But as Hyrule shrugged and stated that he had, in fact, climbed the mountain, Rhaegal couldn't help but release a guffaw of laughter. "You've made it pretty far, I'll give you that. But if you really want to prove them wrong, come back in summer and we'll see if you can keep up and make it to the top." It was a challenge of sorts, and the russet and ink capped prince grinned daringly at the boy. "I'm Rhaegal, by the way. These are my brothers, Drogon and Viserion." Drogon held his tongue, though his harsh garnet eyes glared at Rhaegal for a moment. The peaks of the mountains were a glory privy only to those who called the mountains home. And his brother would so carelessly offer to escort an outsider to such heights? But as Hyrule spoke again his eyes moved back towards him, regarding him in continued silence.

"You know, our families have a truce older than Spirane and Diveen themselves. So in a way, we're already friends." Viserion chimed in, sharing his knowledge with a grin. The mention of brothers had Rhaegal's tail moving against the winds to wave back and forth. His adventurous imagination got the best of him, and he quickly agreed to such a thing. "The three princes of Spirane and three brothers of Diveen; we'd be a force to be reckoned with." 'A force to be reckoned with,' it was a line pulled directly from one of Sorcha's grand tales, and Rhaegal thought it sounded pretty good. As Hyrule continued on, talking about Asteraia and the swamps Rhaegal only got more pulled into the possibilities of their future friendships. "We've been to Glorall," he added, not wanting Hyrule to think they hadn't wandered beyond their home lands when he'd already seen four of the six packs of Moladion. "Say, are you a prince too?" The question came as an afterthought, and he was distracted from receiving as answer at the sound of Hyrule's name being spoken in a much more feminine tone.

Drogon's head whipped around at the familiar voice, garnet eyes fixating upon her smaller stature as the wind practically blew her right off her paws. He flinched, wanting to go help her but trapped between his brothers for the moment. You're not, Drogon thought as she spoke of intruding. Rhaegal and Viserion turned to look at her then, and the brother shifted slightly, separating so that Viserion stood off to one side and Rhaegal to the other, while Drogon only shifted enough to allow a clear line of vision between her and Hyrule, who she spoke to. When she mentioned that Hyrule was the guardian of the gate of Diveen, Rhaegal lifted a brow back at the silvered boy. Not a prince, but a guardian? Still pretty good in his book. "C'mon, there's a cave nearby, so we can get out of the wind." Rhaegal announced, deciding that Semele should come with too instead of going back to her family's den. "The storm shouldn't last too much longer, Semele, and then we can bring you home when we escort Hyrule back to the borders." Viserion added, having glanced up at the sky and noticing the far off break of clouds in the distance. He grinned at her, his offers polite to both her and Hyrule. It only made sense, after all.

Rhaegal took the lead, heading towards the cave that was fairly close. Instead of falling into their usual formation, however, Viserion moved to walk beside Hyrule. "So what's Iromar like? Did you see an alligator?" He questioned their guest, curious to learn what he knew and add it to his store of knowledge. Drogon, in turn, circled around Semele to walk at her far side, serving as a literal wind break so that she would not be pushed off balance again. Silently he glanced down at her, making sure she was ok before he began to move along the same path the other boys had taken. Never did he rush her, moving only at whatever pace she was comfortable with, and focused more so on her stability than the path they followed.

It didn't take them long to reach the cave, and once they were inside Rhaegal shook out his coat and strutted around the cavernous shelter he'd led them to. He glanced around at the gathering of pups, eyes alighting upon each in turn until he decided to sit down and wait to see what would happen next.
