His heart was racing; he could feel it in his whole body. Never had he felt such a way in his life, it confused him, having his heart beat and flutter in his chest. He could feel it in his very ears, a very strange feeling indeed as he turned his forest green gaze upon the mostly white wolfess and the two darker coated males that were following him. He was a boy yet, still had much room to grow and learn about himself and the world that was around him. Jinan was determined though to prove h could do tis despite his lack of hearing and other social short comings that existed with him. He thought he spotted approval in their eyes at his choice of a target at least, but he wanted all of the adults reassurance before he pressed forward.

Astrid looked like a gun that was locked and loaded his own uncertainty though halting her own exuberant approach. She looked like she might have been annoyed with him. He could see it though subtly in her eyes and face, a part of being deaf he supposed made him hyper aware of facial expressions and body movements. She did look fairly upset at his trepidation; it did little to soothe him seeing her like that. His ears fell back but the moment passed as she seemed to get a handle on her emotions and mind back to the task at hand.

She gives him a swift nod and with that he steeled himself. Taking a deep breath the pup darted forward and dashed through the brush. The chaos started immediately after, the brown and black coated boy saw the flurry of legs darting about and around him everywhere but the small doe was the only one that he had his eyes on. He was hardly a juggernaut, darting around until he was upon her giving a snap of his teeth aiming to clench down on the back leg of the doe. She was already up and moving, but he still caught her enough by surprise to feel his small little dagger teeth catch into back leg tearing some of the flesh and causing her to stumble slightly.

He knew the other wolves would be upon her now, their meal wasn’t 100% guaranteed yet, but Jinan had gotten a bite in to slow her down. Astrid was fast and the two males looked strong. This prey likely wouldn’t be getting away from them, but it wasn’t over until it was over.
