Depression consumed her whole. It ate away at her very heart and soul since her last ordeal along the riverside. She was disoriented for the longest time and it was perhaps even scarier than the unprovoked attack upon her life. Her body felt hollow, eyes deadened and blank, the blood loss had been enough to cause physical disorientation yet the mental and emotion wounds were much worse.
She stayed with her father for weeks and took refuge in the den he had made with his new mate. Her life was nothing but one endless nightmare; waking up panting and screaming each time her eyes were too heavy to keep open any longer. She stayed within the darkest confines of the den and even bared her teeth when either of them dared to coax her out. She had not wanted to leave - she liked the closeness of its walls and the shadows that masked her.
It was not until this day that she had finally decided to peer into the golden veiled world outside. Her nose peeked out from the den as a scarred face followed and gray eyes immediately shut tightly together as the sun burned her pupils. A near hiss was expelled through her teeth as she recoiled and yet the sounds of birds, the smells of the forest, the warmth of the daylight urged her further. With newborn apprehension she takes one small step outside of the safety of the burrow, wide eyes searching about her surroundings until it is that Enderly and Eris' presence assures her that all is well.
Something within her is being reborn from the darkness that has ebbed its way into her being and for that she begins to feel stronger with each step away from her safe haven. Unsure eyes glance toward her father once more without word before they turn upon the crags in the distance just through the edge of the trees. She misses her cavernous home, that she is sure of. It feels... strange to feel something so normal once again yet she will hold steadfastly to this homely longing. And so she moves on.
Slender legs made from her mother's lineage carry her swiftly through the forest until she emerges and continues on her way toward the labyrinth that rests beneath the crag. She was born here and it is perhaps the only thing that she feels so attached to since her rebirth. But there are others and with a near feral raise of her lips she makes a wide circle with hackles all in a fray. She does not trust so easily now and they are upon her own turf. Now she must find a way deep within without being captured.
