The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Somehow, Sabriel wasn't bothered by being alone. It did not hurt him that he would spend his years romantically alone, because if it wasn't in the script, then it wasn't and there was nothing he could do about that. He didn't need to change it, because he knew he couldn't give anyone the proper settle-down lifestyle they'd want. That Micteca had wanted. He was still a gypsy at heart, still inclined to live that lifestyle, because it was what he knew and he didn't know how to shake off the wanderlust. The sheer need to move around unencumbered by a pack's one place to dwell within. Sabriel belonged to the gypsies in ways he wished he could belong elsewhere, but there was no stopping the truth. He had tried to be normal and he had failed. He couldn't even fix that now.

Sabriel did not want to put anyone in danger. He had risked his life to bring others out of it, even, and would do so again if he had need of it. There was no attempt to be charming in this conversation; Sabriel was simply being honest. There was nothing he needed from this female, other than to know she was safe, that she was okay. He blinked when she asked her question, and then gave her name. Anemone. "Literally, yes. I'm prone to think you must be my imprint to be able to give me the ability to see color." He paused for a moment, then went on in case she was dubious of him and his intents; "But do not worry over the imprint thing; I ask nothing of you." He wanted to ensure she understood this, because he would give no pressure on anything. He was only gald to see color. "I'm Sabriel. Pleased to meet you, Anemone." He adds lightly.
