Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Riot was following the scent from Iromar, the one that had been on the white wolf that had been broken and bleeding and needing help. It was a most concerning thing, and not just because of the attack itself, but because of what it had told Riot. A smell that was familiar but one he had never smelled before. Something about it was off, and Riot had some ideas on what that could mean. Perhaps he was related to the creature who had attacked that wolf, and he hadn't been sure if he wanted to know the answers to this particular question. He did not know what it would do to him to find out, to know who had done it and for what reason.

And it would be wrong to hold back the information now from Aithne, which was at the forefront of his mind as he wandered along. He would have to tell her what he knew of it, that much was certain. But he did not know a lot, not enough to really have much to go on, so that was almost comforting. And yet if he did not follow up on it and simply told her, she might take that as shirking his responsiblities. He couldn't have that be the case. If he was going to do this job, then he was going to do it right. He would find out all that he could of the matter and if he knew nothing more, then that was fine. He did what he had to. If he found out life altering things... then there was that.

Riot continued to stroll along the faint scent, trying to catch and hold it, to trace it back to the scene of the 'crime'. Eventually he did find the place where the blood smelled stronger, where the scent was thicker in the soil. He sniffed around it, trying to figure out more, trying to detect anything that might help him out in this matter. The scent only told him what he had already suspected of it; still familiar and sort of like his own, but different. Not a sibling smell, but something else that he was trying to pick apart his mind to understand better. If nothing more, he could continue to look for that scent and see if he could trail it back to who it belonged to. But did he want to?
