News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

HUNTER AND PREY

If there was one thing to be said about the fast forming friendship between the two boys, it was that they would challenge each other in ways that perhaps their respective siblings were incapable of. Viserion loved each of his family members in their own way, but none of them had as inquisitive of minds as him. Rhaegal would often roll his eyes as he perceived his brother to heckle their mother for details about the pack and its history, and so Viserion had come to a point where he would only engage in such conversations with Daenerys when they spent time alone together. Viserion was given to nod in agreement as Arthfael's grin was followed by a proposition of sorts - that someday they would figure out one way or another if these fantastical things such as invisibility necklaces existed. There was a vast world of knowledge out there, and the white fringed boy had a thirst for it.

As they moved further into the cavern in search of cave fish, Arthfael raised another possibility. Did bats live in this cave as well? Viserion could not help but glance towards the ceiling of the cave, even though he knew his molten gold eyes would not be able to discern them from the rock face's from which they hung. "If we stick around until twilight, or just come back then, I'm sure we could find out." He offers this option to his companion, wondering if he'd want to spend the rest of the day in the cave or see more of the mountain instead. Viserion didn't mind either way, although who was he to say that Arthfael would desire his company for that long anyways? If the time came where he felt his presence was no longer required or desired, he would depart. The boy was rather perceptive in that way.

The two youths continued deeper into the cave as his golden gaze fell from the featureless ceiling. It was then that Viserion asked about Arthfael's mother, unable to figure it out for himself but still curious about the matter. They continue forward, slowly as the cave begins to grow darker the further they venture inward. Arthfael spoke of his mom, stating that her name was Natu and that she had once been the Spider for the pack. A single brow rose in curiosity at his claim that Natu and Daenerys had once been friends. Viserion had asked his mother many questions about the pack's history, but she'd been rather vague when speaking about the only wolf who had ever served as the pack's Spider. The nameless shewolf had left the pack, and Daenerys hadn't offered many more details than that to her son. The issue seemed somewhat sensitive to her, and so he'd decided not to push it. Here and now, however, Viserion nodded. "Yes she is; her name is Daenerys." He paused, unsure what more to say on the matter now that he knew who his mother that had once lived here was. The mystery was solved. "We haven't had another - Spider, that is - since your mom left. It is a rather specialized role."

A flash of white in the ever-growing darkness of the cave's depths caught Viserion's attention, and he glanced down into the water off to his side. "I think I saw one!" He stated, moving forward a bit more to where they could easily stand along the banks of the stream side by side. For a moment he wondered if he had been seeing things, for the water was only black before his eyes. But then a large, white fish came to the surface, gulping down a bug that had hovered just above it. Its skin seemed almost translucent - he could have sworn he saw the things very bones! "Did you see that?" Viserion's eyes lifted to his friend, hoping he'd not missed it. His white fringed tail waved back and forth, a smile across his features.
