Covet had faith that if he was meant to survive, strong enough to keep going, then he would. He would win where he risked, because he was the stronger wolf. That had kept him alive all this time with his all too specific cravings and needs, the fact that it was more intelligent to kill for what he wanted rather than allow those he chose to victimized to live. Yet he had tossed that away for feelings, and that alone was a weakness he did not like to admit having. Covet had said enough on that matter as it was, and did not want to go there again if he could avoid the situation. He was most interested in avoiding or ignoring it right now. He had matters to keep his mind busy, and it was best to leave anything beating within his chest out of it.

This was what life had given to him, because his bloodlusting habits were not a choice he had made, but one that he had been born with. He did not want to be this thing, he was not raised in that manner. He had been raised well, to be better, and yet nature could not be pushed down. Covet had tried to hide his need, tried to fight it on more than one occasion, and in the end it had only gotten worse as he matured. He was grateful that it had evened out at adulthood, and it was sheer force of will that he had gained the control of it that he now had over the years. He did not have to let it win over, and that was a big thing to him. He wanted to show Malina this fact, and yet.. was that really a good idea?

He was having second thoughts on it, to be honest. This was not an issue to deal with now, for his belly was full and he was waiting for the female to answer his question. Or deflect it, her call. Yet she did not seem to be an inhibited sort of creature from what he had seen of her. When she replies, he listens to her words thoughtfully. Most tender and stayed hot for a time. Covet gives a slight nod of his head to this. And when she asks over his interest in the liver, he quirks a brow at her. "All the nutrients, of course." He said it matter-of-factly, as if that were obvious and did not really need to be said. Though he could have had another reason, he supposed. But Covet simply did not.
