Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Things seemed...stable in Glorall. Since Eden had taken over as alpha, residents new and old had figured out their place among the new hierarchy. I was still quite proud to have been the first to complete any tasks for Eden, rising swiftly to Trapper. I always knew that I was born to be great at something, and it was nice to have the affirmation of a title to back up my claims of being one of the best hunters in Moladion. And I was only three years old, with time and hard work I could become the best hunter Moladion had ever seen. Surely Eden would be pleased with such a thing. Maybe in a year or two I would think about discussing my usefulness with Eden and see if I could become a suitable Hand or Engager. For now, though, I was content with being my home's chief huntress. From time to time I could be found down along the shorelines of our home, observing the behaviors of the seals as the bulls fought one another. While we had succeeded in taking down that bull last autumn, it had not been within injury. So I studied them, trying to devise the best ways to swiftly and effectively dispatch the lives of these immense prey animals so that we were less likely to suffer for it.

And when I wasn't trying to better myself as a huntress, I would spend time in Haziel's company. I really liked hanging out with him, he was so different from most wolves I had met. No matter the seasons that had passed I still felt a pull towards him, an unending intrigue that could never be fully quenched. As I walked through the sparsely wooded western reaches of Glorall, I thought to maybe seek him out this afternoon. But then the thought struck me - what if he was getting sick of seeing me? Would the imprint bond allow him to tell me to just go away already? My ears switched back in duress, unsure of myself for a moment before I flicked my tail and lifted my head a little higher. Maybe he couldn't see my outward beauty, but surely his heightened senses showed him that I was a worthwhile girl to be around? If he'd changed his mind about thinking that fate was or wasn't unkind to him by binding us, I would be able to tell, wouldn't I? I shook out the long fur of my ruff, continuing on my way towards his den when a nearby voice caught my attention.

My head swiveled to the west, emerald eyes darting to and fro through the trees, seeking the source of the sound. Finally my smoky ears locked forward, a bit further south where the trees began to give way to more open areas. The voice had started up again, growing steadily louder to a final exultation. White speckled paws set off in that direction, jogging along inquisitively. I spotted the bay girl as she pawed at the ground before her, a repetitive action that seemed to have no real purpose. My head tilted slightly to the side as I made my way closer to her. Unbeknownst to me, I traipsed right through the poppies that she was so focused on, though I was careful not to crush any beneath the weight of my paws. They were beautiful flowers, after all. "Hello there, can I help you?" I said as I walked closer to the borders, but remained a fair distance within my home. I knew that the border would not actually protect me if someone wanted to harm me, but there was something about the girl who pawed relentlessly at the loose soil that I found rather...curious.
