Sabriel understood being wary and careful, of not trusting strangers right off, but he had given no indication of ill intent, and this girl was not treating him as if she had any manners at all. She had been rude, and it looked like she was paranoid for a moment. Now she was showing signs of being a threat, even as her words asked him if he had been threatening her. "It is not. The unfortunate part is that if I were a threat to you, you might not recieve any warning of it. And your stance, as Kellin said, would imply that you are more prone to attack than either of us." He said this all with a calm tone, figuring that something was wrong here, though it should not afford such mannerisms.
She was acting scared, maybe, and Sabriel was not trying to scare her more. Yet it would be wrong of him to let her go out there with this kind of attitude knowing that it could get her hurt or killed if she did it towards the wrong wolf. There had been attacks recently, and although Sabriel did his best to stay out of such things, it was all too obvious to ignore. While he was trying to be helpful, she was raising her fur at him. Kellin looked uncomfortable beside him, as if the younger male would like to be anywhere but here. Maybe that was true, and Sabriel wondered if he should be the first to walk away. Kellin, for all the male's misgivings of the situation, would not leave him to face this alone. Choices.
