GOD KNOWS WE LIKE ARCHAIC KINDS OF FUN

The first thing Dixon had done when he returned to the Islands was to find Caesisus. He needed to find her - he needed to know she was okay. He had searched everywhere he possibly could for her, but had come up empty-handed. He briefly entertained the idea of going back to the Lagoon, but the mere thought made him cringe. The life of a lagoon stallion just wasn’t for him anymore. He had been there, done that, and he needed a new adventure now. Something else to keep him busy for the rest of his days. Part of him worried he might never find Caesisus again, but he knew his chances were slim now - he had been gone for so long, after all. She had probably moved on with her life and found someone else who would actually stick by her side through everything.

When he had been unable to find the former object of his affections, Dixon had headed towards the outlying Islands, looking for a new place to call home. He had passed right by Tinuvel and Salem - he was never one for the cold and the desert was far too hot for him. He was looking for a place with real seasons and milder weather. Luthien had been practically empty, so he made his way briefly back to the crossing to rest a bit. There, he'd heard whispers of a new herd coming in on Atlantis, and had immediately made his way there. The thick musk of a stallion was fresh on the breeze, and he was easily able to track it past the borders of the Ridge. Dixon spotted the sooty male after a day's travel, approaching him with a friendly nicker and a bowed head.

“You Jabberwocky?” He asks, his voice rough from disuse. “Need to talk t’ya.” He lowers his head, looking the other male in the eye. “I’ll get right to it. M’sorry fer trespassin’, don’t mean t’startle ya or anythin’. M’just lookin’ fer a place t’stay, as soon as possible, an’ I heard you jus’ got ahold of this place an’ I figured you might be lookin’ fer a second.” He tossed his forelock out of his face. “I ain’t gonna cause no trouble, m’just lookin’ for somewhere I can bring m’family.” When he had one, of course.
