The Grotto
Disaster has struck!

We know nothing about this wolf and his story, why he would have attacked Cobryn and why of all things he would think to eat another wolf. I cannot imagine a creature so sick as to want to eat wolf meat out of preference. But Solitaire turns the tables completely when he lunges in first before asking questions, biting and snapping at the older wolf who turns back on his attacker, going after Solitaire. I can't imagine seeing someone else bleed to death right before my eyes, seeing someone of my blood die and knowing I did nothing about it. Seeing my mother die was bad enough. I can't lose my only brother. I ram into the wolf's ribcage, using my weight and surprise as my advantage as I snap my jaws toward him, anything to distract him from going after Solitaire. Solitaire starts to go down with him as he loses his balance but I grasp onto the flesh of his neck and start shaking my head viciously, aiming to rip and tear the skin. I note the wolf letting go of Solitaire only to go after me. A part of me almost relishes the thought. As he brings his dull claws up at me, I feel them graze my leg and I grumble in answer, shaking all the more viciously. The wolf had managed to bite into Solitaire's shoulder and my grumbles become snarls. I hate the smell of my brother's blood. I see him moving out of the corner of my eye as the wolf releases him and Solitaire jumps back in, going after his back leg. I release the wolf's neck only pressure him further, not wanting to back off and give him time to recover. I lunge forward, aiming to press my chest into his and force him back toward Solitaire's welcoming jaws even as I snake my own head up to grab at the side of his head or neck, aiming to crunch down with the full force of my jaws and shake again.
