News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

i am the blood of the mountain
It seemed perhaps fitting, for so much turmoil to take hold of the eastern packs of Moladion. After such a long spell of peace, one in which I had managed to forge alliances with every pack in the land, change had come crashing against the eastern shores seemingly with each shift of the tide. Tesseract had been the first to fall, and it seemed almost unbelievable that that first transfer of power had occurred a year ago. Whether it had been Eden's tenacity to go up against a long standing and beloved alpha that had set the ripples of change in motion, or something else entirely, from there things had seemingly deteriorated for the three packs along the eastern coast. Rhae had fallen to a much darker minded wolf, one whose call across the lands in her victory had made my skin prickle. In the aftermath she had perished from the wounds sustained in battle, but it had been a quiet affair and Iblis had gone with her in much the same way that Alcide had refused to live on without Moonglow. For some time after that I had been on edge, watching as the wolves from the plains poured across my borders, half expecting this Jaidah to enact some kind of villainous tirade throughout the lands. But nothing had ever happened. For a time, all was quiet, and I thought perhaps that was the last of it. Until two seasons ago, when the unimaginable happened - Kane fell to a usurper. Shortly thereafter, Jaidah's reign had been taken over by what was rumored to be another shewolf that was like minded to her. But the strangest thing in all of this was that the wolf who had pulled the angels from their plateaus and cast them out of their home...had reinstated a different angel as alpha. The state of those packs of Moladion with which we held no bonds was what brought me out searching for Pan. The day that Isola and her followers had come seeking haven within the mountains my advisor had requested to speak with me on these matters, and with my plans to travel to Glorall finally feasible, I thought it best to meet with him before I went.

The ripple effect of change across Moladion had forced me to postpone my trip time and again. No word from Eden had come to recede the invitation given to meet with him; perhaps he too had become busy with internal affairs. Zen and those wolves who had come with her to Spirane were healing well, and Kane seemed to have recovered from his injuries too. I did not expect the Divinians to ever quite...settle within Spirane, as so many of them had made it blatantly obvious that this was not their home and their stay was only temporary. Not to mention how frayed Isola's nerves had been in regards to the missing status of her father. When Sleekwing had brought me the news of his death a sorrow had gripped my heart, more for Isola than for the loss itself. I had not known Heyel well myself, but I knew the tragic pain of losing a parent. Isola, Kane, and even Heyel himself had been there for me and my pack when Alcide and Moonglow passed. When the time was right, I would be there for Isola. But for now, I had to take care of the pressing matters of foreign affairs. While I had recently instated Sway as my Warden, I knew that the forging of bonds with packs we had held long allegiance to the former alphas of was something I needed to handle myself.

Cool morning air filtered through the trees, the early morning light casting a warm glow across the mountainside as the foliage shifted in hue. The sun was slowly creeping away from the horizon as I moved along familiar trails, well worn with the foot traffic of my pack. I jogged along at ease, ears relaxed to the sides and tail swishing back and forth with the effortlessness of my stride. It did not take me long to reach Pan's densite, and as I came towards it my ears swiveled forward, pricking to attention. "Pan," I called out as I slowed to a stop, mahogany eyes glancing over the entrance to his den and then around the area in which it lay. I doubted that a mind so active as his allowed for sleeping in, but one never knows. "I think it is high time we discussed the affairs of Diveen, Glorall, and even Asteraia, don't you agree?" A small grin pulled at the edge of my maw, knowing this simple statement would give way to a plethora of information and opinions from my advisor. He had earned his place as my Hand for a reason. Though I thought that, perhaps, the most intriguing tidbit of information that I wished to garner from him was about his own attempt to vie for the throne of Diveen when Covet had openly requested candidates to step forward for the position. I knew of Pan's history, his lineage tracing back to the days before Heyel had risen to power - a family as old as my own. I remembered his words from the earliest days of my reign, his answer to my inquiry of why he would be the worst choice for the role. Alphas blood ran through his veins just as it did mine, and I wondered if it had begun to boil within him now that Diveen's standing was no longer so secure as it had once been. Perhaps in the way he tended to speak - or rather vomit words - he would reveal his intentions to me; or maybe today I would have to dig a little deeper.

ooc; sorry it's kind of all over the place...been almost three weeks since i've written a post. /:
