Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Solitaire tried not to pry into the lives of others when it was just as easy for them to find him if they wanted companyThe term 'father' seemed like a weird thing to attach to himself, to be honest. It was odd sounding in his mind, for some reason. Like he couldn't picture himself as a father, even though he was going to be one come Spring. What did that say about him, though? Was he not ready for this? Because he thought he would always be ready to take care of puppies, always wanted to babysit the ones others had.. but to have his own had seemed like such a far fetched idea to him until all of this had happened. Having puppies usually came with liking females in a romantic or sexual way, and thus far Solitaire felt no such thing. It was difficult enough to get over his nerves around them at all, really.

Solitaire wasn't sure if Tristan had caught on to any of that over the time they had spent together, but the topic of females hadn't really come up, so maybe not. Tristan didn't talk about them much, and so far hadn't said anything about interest in any, so maybe it was an age thing, too? Solitaire couldn't be sure on these things, but suspected for his own sake, it was mostly to do with his past. Despite that, Solitaire was going forward with this, and in doing so, had to tell Tristan all about it. When something happened, Tristan was the first Solitaire thought to go to about it. Solitaire felt that he could tell his brother anything, even if the topic hadn't yet come up on some things.

And he could tell that Tristan was surprised at the news, but that made sense in the fact that it was all so sudden, even for Solitaire. Of course the initial reaction would be surprise. Lucky lady? Solitaire wasn't sure that label really applied to Ambrosia, because feelings weren't even involved in this situation. Plus, when he did tell his brother the name of the female, there had been some shock on Tristan's features. It was obvious Tristan already knew who Ambrosia was. He had to grin sheepishly at the words of aiming high, shaking his head. "I didn't aim at all, this was the deal I was asked to go along with. Stone blood as heirs. But no, I'm not leaving Glorall. I'll visit Diveen a bit, but this is my home." He responded with a smile. And he was pleased to hear that Tristan wanted to meet Ambrosia and the pups when they were born. "Good, I bet you two will get along." He said, happy about the idea.
