The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

I should have known I wouldn't be able to slip right up to her before she opens her eyes. She must have planned for me to step out of cover the moment she closes her eyes. Smart girl. Quite the smart move. I can see her jaws stiffen around the hare in her mouth, as if she meant to pierce it all the way through from one side to the other. A bit tense are we? My lips twitch with humor. She just continues to watch me as I circle and I wait to see the wheels turning behind those haunting eyes. What is she thinking? Will she run? Will she fight? Will she stand her ground? She seems frozen to the spot for now and I am pleased with this. I would like to study her further after all. It's been far too long since I've come across a wolf I didn't immediately want to eat. Maybe it's because her white coat reminds me of Sookie or because her fear brings something new to life inside me but I don't want to eat her. At least not yet.

Somewhere in her mind, she must know that if she runs, she'll only make herself a lamb to the slaughter. I have yet to use my teeth but we both know I won't hesitate. As I speak to her ears, she jerks away as if hit and spins her back end away, an amusing gesture in itself. What would I want to do with that end? I only come to the willing in that respect. And believe me, they're all too willing. I chuckle under my breath. "Protecting your virtue, little rabbit? I wouldn't take it until you beg." My ice blue eyes glisten with daring as if I know already that some time in the future, she just might be doing that. Most would think the vitals to be the throat or chest, where your heart is housed. If she knew that was my favorite part of a wolf then she might have spun that end away rather than her tail. Either way, I appreciate the gesture.

I can see her nostrils working as if trying to catch my cologne but she won't find the stain of a pack on it. I am packless and with Sookie gone, I might as well stay that way. We had made plans to have a family some day and join a pack where it would be safer for them but I guess that day was never to come anyway. I was always meant to be a monster alone. I watch her eyes dart around her surroundings. Perhaps looking for an escape now? My back legs coil with energy, ready to spring forward, my shoulders rolling in anticipation of the chase to come. I watch her drop the hare to the ground with interest, raising a brow as I tilt my head and grin. "I do not eat the meat of prey, little rabbit. The feast I desire comes from something much higher on the food chain." She lifts her head, her ears constantly at work so I hold my ground and wait, knowing something's about to happen.

When she steps back, I mirror her move, stepping forward, neither taking more space nor giving her more. If she is uncomfortable then that is where I'm most comfortable. She stops, inhaling strongly and I ready myself, knowing she is steeling herself for something to come. As she exahles, it has a strange atmosphere to it and then she bolts right at me. I hold my ground, grinning wider as I brace myself for impact but my back legs rally behind me, my claws digging into the ground whether it be to meet her in mid flight when she pounces or give chase when she veers off to the side. I have been cheated before many times in this fashion and I can still smell the fear draining off of her in waves. She will either fight long enough to gain her freedom to run or she will simply bluff and run. I see her fangs flash and I laugh out loud, encouraging her to continue but then she makes the move I was looking for, suddenly veering off to run in the direction she approached.

With a grin, I take off after her, bounding ahead in one leap since I was already ready for a powerful launch. I dive in low with my head angled almost ninty degrees, jaws snapping at the tibia bone or tarsus of her left leg, whichever I can grasp. I might even catch her back paw instead but either way, I'll instantly latch down to lock my jaws and pull back, aiming to jerk her off balance and send her face planting to the ground. If I miss completely and only snap on air, I'll keep bounding after her, knowing that I'm built stream lined for speed, perfect for chases such as this. My next target if I don't manage to take her off her feet will be the billowy tail unless she keeps it tucked. I'll bite sideways at it to grab and snatch, causing extreme pain, probably enough to at least make her turn and face me.

If she does go down with my first attack, I'll use the momentum of my launch forward to leap over her, landing in a stumble to turn back to face her and widen my stance in ready mode in case she gets up ready to fight. I grin, chomping my jaws teasingly as I flick my tail behind me.
