Not many wolves were well aware of Raven and her parentage. The wolves within Iromar that had been around before and during Andras’ rule were aware that she had come from the Servitor. Chael was not a wolf she would have chosen for herself for an imprint. He was weak. It was a struggle at first to not sink her teeth in him. His stench caused her to gag and each time he buckled down and submitted she had to force herself not to jump on him. The child was not wanted. Andras had noticed how often his weakest wolf would disappear from the swamps and when he found out why he wasn’t too pleased. Luckily she wasn’t pleased either. When she discovered that Chael longed to have a child of his own she would obliedge and give him the child, with the promise and assurance that Chael would no longer be near her and that the child would forever remain in Iromar. She would take care of the child until she could survive off of meat alone, and she had fulfilled that promise. Chael broke his side of the bargain when he went off to search for her one more time, and when he found her, she killed him. Andras had kept his part of the bargain and she was grateful towards it. Raven would be better off with a pack, especially having Andras as and Alpha, and Tick Tock had felt she had done Raven a favor.
There was a reason why she did not want Raven near her. Raven carried the same mark she did and she thought that if Raven was given a chance that Tick Tock never had…perhaps Raven would be okay. Raven was raised within a pack and did what she could for them. Tick Tock had heard rumors of a youngster traveling between packs, a young girl that was slowly tearing down the walls that held others at bay from Iromar. She had observed her daughter from afar. Dark eyes holding a rare glimmer of pride as she watched her daughter grow. When she had heard of Iromar changing, the wolves being more accepting, and other wolves tearing down their hate for that pack, she could not help but feel a swell of pride. Yet she would not go to Iromar and seek her out and tell her what she thought. No…that would only hinder her success. She would watch from afar, as she should, because she should never be in Raven’s life. For a moment Tick Tock would look down her eyes shifted downward and for a moment there was a glimpse of sadness in them.
“Not many know who her Mother is and Andras respected that wish. A shame he is dead.”
She would lift her head and when her dark blue eyes shifted upwards they would harden once more as she looked into Aithne’s eyes. That Raven would be missing would be quite an unusual thing. However, Aithne was not aware that the little girl she trusted could one day turn into something like her Mother. She wondered, she truly did, if perhaps Raven had done something so frightfully terrible that she would run away from Iromar. She wouldn’t put it past her that Raven would be afraid of her actions, after all, she had Chael’s blood running in her veins too. Softly her cold lyrics would drip gently as she spoke truthfully to the Empress of the swamps.
“She is not here, and if she was, I would have told her to go back to Iromar with the wish of an alliance. I am well aware of her rank and what she has done for Iromar…I knew she would do well there. She belongs there Has a wolf been harmed in Iromar as soon as she disappeared? Do you know why she left?.”
