Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

edrick - four - loner - heart & soul

For a moment he can feel the tension ratchet up a notch, his own muscles shifting beneath his pelt seamlessly so that his weight now rests on his back legs in case he needs to leap. In case the two males would follow the instincts that are guiding them and the snarls that split the air between them. How dare this male shove her aside like that. In the back of his mind Edrick realizes that Tithe is in a protective stance but it does nothing to assuage his own anger at the way the male had man-handled her, even if Taika did not mind it. He can see the flash of fury on Tithe's face as he demands that the other male apologize and when the gray male steps forward so does Edrick, matching step for step with his multi-tanned figure fluffing around him. This time, however, it was not in play.

"I WAS NOT!" He snaps, his teeth clicking together audibly in indignation at the others claim. Lavender eyes slip past the other male to assess Taika with a quick flick before returning to him, waiting to see what would happen. Edrick did not want to fight - not really. But he would do what was necessary to protect Taika even if he had only just met her. He startles when he sees Taika suddenly launch herself at Tithe, taking an involuntary step closer and readying himself to dash towards them so that Tithe would take a bite of him instead of her.

Except... he doesn't need to. His ears stand up when she speaks, his heart slamming in his ribcage because he assumed she was attacking Tithe in his own defense (or hers) and he had been certain an all out brawl was about to occur. When the other male relaxes beneath her gnawing so does Edrick, his fur beginning to settle down as he eyes Tithe suspiciously, trying to figure out how they knew one another. His eyes harden at the word Faeries, daring the other male to say something snide about it. While he wasn't a pup anymore it didn't mean that he couldn't have a good time, make-believe or not.

His body relaxed when she finally moved away from Tithe and to his side, touching her nose to his shoulder and Edrick offers her a sideways smile, lopsided and playful with his tail arcing back and forth before he finally seats himself with her next to him. Whether Tithe was her friend or not Edrick felt better having her next to him so that he could make sure the grumpy male didn't accidentally (or intentionally) hurt her. He gives her a fake glare at her sly wording, snorting a laugh at her and glancing back at Tithe, trying to find a way to enjoy the moment but not look totally foolish in front of her friend.

"I am Edrick, and I am the Faerie KING," he says, stressing the word on a low growl while canting his head towards Taika before chuckling. "As for the Faerie... well, maybe princess, I don't know her name either." He raises a brow in a comical manner, glancing between them. "How do you know each other, Tithe?"
