The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Scarlet bit back a chuckle as the fae stammered out a response about how Marx didn't touch her- of course he didn't. He had Enigma and she no doubt gave him all the 'touching' he required. As for injury- Marx was bluffing, no doubt. He was strong and he was a great tool against threats to the pack, but to ask him to harm a non threatening prisoner- Scarlet knew what the result would be. A bit far nothing. The brute was no doubt a talented killer and a destructive weapon- but deep down, he was a good guy. Was that what Enigma loved about him- a killer with a golden heart? Scarlet cocked her head while on her spine and watched Kobato lower to the ground, stiff and uncomfortable. She was clearly having problems keeping it together. Nights slowly rolled onto her front in time to see her smile- most prisoners could keep a sunny outlook, especially after what Kenshin did to her. No doubt the brute was nearby and the thought made Scarlet scan the jungle for the dark force her king wielded.
Scarlet scrabbled closer, sliding through the velvety grass on her belly, relieved to see the far relaxing a little whilst drying off. Nights kept her distance- personally she enjoyed staying away from other wolves, but she was rather lonely- not that she needed company. She wanted it.

This might come as a surprise, Kobato, but I want us to be friends... and if not friends, allies.

Scarlet spoke in a lazy, content tone, but the sharp edge to her word friends clearly showed she thought allies were a better option- but it seemed they were somehow less of a power pull in these strange lands. Scarlet stared at the outer brush layer of her private glade and sat up. A twig had snapped, as if Kenshin had wanted his presence know- or maybe it was just a bird.. Scarlet exposed her fangs and rumbled out a growl, harsh and frightening in the previous silence of the glade.

STALKER!

The brujo would not retaliate- nor would he make himself known- nor would he probably leave unless she forced him. He listened to Kershov, not her- perhaps that would be a fun thing to mention to Kershov. She knew of many fun missions Kenshin could complete....and all of them very far away. Scarlet petite frame inched closer to Scarlet as she lay down, Kobato swallowed and looked away from her, clearly hiding tears. Scarlet refrained from asking what was wrong, as she knew the answer would probably be her husband, her king, her Kershov. Scarlet understood Kobato's situation better than most, she herself had become a prisoner of sorts- except it was strange situation here she was alpha, and yet still confined to pack terra. Kershov didn't threaten her, not directly, but she knew what would happen if she left again- he would find her himself. Scarlet's belly gave a nudge and she snapped her eyes shut, her body tensing, not enjoying the feeling of something moving inside her. Her hormones were to blame for the state of Draven- a wolf who had tried to poison both one of her omegas and Kershov himself. Saw Tooth had luckily intervened and saved them both. That bothered Scarlet- for reasons too complicated to delve into. Scarlet looked at her tan and russet abdomen and sighed.

….because I know what its like to be in your situation.

The ess sighed, hoping Kobato wouldn't break down in front of her- although she wouldn't blame her if she did.
