Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I've been hearing all the commotions at the borders lately but I didn't want to be caught eavesdropping so I backed off after a few minutes and went to find something else to do. From what I caught of it though, Eden stole a wolf and she brought her mate with her so they both decided to stay, at least for now. From the sounds of it, she seems to be friendly so I don't mind her sticking around. Hopefully her mate is too. The winter breeze off the ocean is rather chilly but I'm pretty used to it, my winter coat pretty thick to keep me protected from most of the chill. I relish the coolness that ruffles my fur and makes my skin tingle. There's nowhere I'd rather be. I've caught glimpses of the wolf I saw on the borders with Eden and I've noticed that her belly seems to be a little fuller than it was when she arrived. Does that mean she's just eating good on Glorall's sea birds or is she pregnant? Not that I mind or anything. She's perfectly fine to spend time with her mate and bring new life into Glorall. At least we have Solitaire here to help her.

I haven't seen much of my brother lately and it worries me. He's always been a shadow since he came back to Moladian, a big part of Glorall and always there at the borders to meet other wolves. But lately he's been MIA and I'm concerned about it. Hopefully he's not still upset about Ambrosia and the agreement he made with Covet. From the rumors I hear he spent time with not just one but two females this past winter. I wonder if that means he'll be a father. I wonder who they are and how he knows them. I guess he can't be too angry about Ambrosia if he'll go off with other females. Maybe that's where he's been since he's not here. Maybe he's just checking in on the females. I wouldn't blame him. I'd be scared if I got someone pregnant.

I make my way down to the ocean, wanting to pick through scents and see if I can find my brother or someone else to talk to. As the winter sinks in, I feel more lonely than usual. I look up when I feel someone looking at me and I blink a few times in surprise to see it's the female from the borders. She offers a smile which is good at least. I feel my own lips twitching, offering a welcome smile in return. She stands and moves closer and instantly I feel bad for making her move when she's...well, obviously pregnant. Surprise registers on my face as I move toward her at a trot. "No, no, don't fret yourself to come closer. Mustn't stress out your body at this time of year. You must need to rest." Okay so I don't know a lot about pregnancy but I think I heard somewhere that pregnant females should rest more and not over exert themselves. She offers her name as Natu and I take a seat in front of her, my ears pricking to listen.

"A pleasure to meet you, Natu. I am Tristan. Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking? Did you come from another pack or the open lands? What's your mate's name? Is he friendly? How many pups are you having?" I've never been good about keeping my thoughts to myself once I get to talking and she already has this way of making me feel comfortable around her like I'm able to express my thoughts freely. I duck my head a little and offer a sheepish smile, tucking my ears down a little in embarassment as I wait for her to scold me for talking too much or something.
