Once this place used to hold the yin and yang scenery of Blossom Field. Now, there are miles of winding tundra. To the north, this tundra is cruel and dry, with wisping weaves of tall grasses. The ground is cracked and cold, and it hardly is ever moistened by dearly desired rainfall. To the south, the tundra becomes more prosperous - meadows of flowers and herbs grace the ground. Part of this connects near Elebeam Weargtreow - however it is an impassible field of poppy, which will put any wolf trying to cross it into a deep slumber, and eventually die.

Those looking to hunt here will find mice, snakes, and rabbits, along with pronghorns, bison, and javalinas.

You Know Nothing (Halina)

You’re Mine as I’m Yours

The female had not been doing much of importance as of late. She had been wandering around different areas of Blossom, not sticking in one place for too long of a time. She had not joined a pack, not really for any reason other than none of them had given her a reason to stay. She had never approached an alpha or any pack member for that matter, but she had gone to each in turn, scoped them out to see what they were all about. She knew which packs were active, which ones were slowly dying out. She knew which ones were nice and friendly, and which ones were less so. She knew that some bred warriors and fighters, and some had healers and those that were kind, most had a mix of both.

So far, the red female had not spoken to many other wolves, really it was only the one other female, Halina. Ygritte had not thought of her in a while, better not to dwell on the friendships that didn’t work out. She thought that her and the other female had made a connection, more so than friends actually, but she must have interpreted things incorrectly. Their conversation had died down, and the two had parted ways, not making mention of seeing each other again. Ygritte’s tastes in lupines was unique, not one that she usually ran into. Most vargs were traditional, a male finding a female, falling in love, sometimes not, and having pups and starting a family. But that was not what Ygritte wanted. Yes, she did want a family, but it was not physiologically possible with the types that she would fall for. She would not mate unless it was for love, and she would never love one that had the ability to breed her. In the past she had had her flings with males, but it was always more of flirtations and teases, never for love. But that was when she was younger and now she knew what she wanted, and a male was not ever going to fit that criteria.

Ygritte had all but given up on finding a female mate, until she met Halina. She was an attractive wolf, one that fit her tastes. The red wolf herself was a warrior, a fighter, and she needed someone else like that if they were ever going to work out. By the scars that Halina held and the well-built muscle it was clear that she too was a soldier, and not the type that needed to be coddled. That was not the type that Ygritte was interested in. She needed someone else that was strong and unique as she was. But now she was alone again, as she usually was, but she was not upset by that. The female was used to the loneliness and the solitude, and now it felt more like a friend than a stranger. She knew what she needed to do to survive and that was what she focused on, keeping herself in good physical shape and in general looking good.

Ygritte’s stomach rumbled, and it tore her out of her thoughts, reminding her what she had come out to do today, to hunt. She enjoyed hunting, chasing down her prey and feeling the adrenaline of the run. There were many places in Blossom that she had traveled to, so she knew exactly where she wanted to go to find her meal today, to one of the fields. Half of this field was burned down, but the other half was still beautiful and full of life, and that was where many creatures went to find shelter and food. Her long and skinny limbs carefully carried her bodice through the tall grasses, making sure not to make a sound as she began to scope out the area. She was already crouched down low, not wanting to alert any prey of her presence as she made sure to keep herself downwind. And then she caught the scent, a rabbit was nearby, she could smell its flesh and she began to salivate at the thought of tearing into its tender flesh. Her blue-grey orbs focused in on its smaller form once she placed it, entirely alert to the other being, not paying attention to anything else but her targeted prey as she began to stalk forward.
