The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

All That I See, Absolute Horror

_________________________________________________________________________

The female was treading through Abendrot’s territory, even through the areas that had more difficult terrain. Everything about Abendrot was extreme, the wolves that lived there, their lifestyles, and even Abendrot itself. From the outside it might seem like any other area of Blossom, trees, dense forest, shrubbery. But on the inside was much more. There were swamps and bogs, some areas even unwalkable now after all the rain that had been plaguing these lands recently. One part of the territory had flooded over and other parts were muddy and marshy. The female was walking through one of those parts now, her paws sticking in the mud leaving behind her a trail of paw prints that showed exactly where she had been. Even if she was not walking directly in the mud, the dirt and muck on her paws left their own trail. If she had been somewhere else she would have done something to hide this trail, but this was here home and it didn’t matter where she traveled within so she had no need to hide her whereabouts from others.

And that was when she ran into a pup, one that had a devilish look upon her face that only one that belonged in Abendrot would have. As Azula approached though, the pup quickly hid her features and put on a stoic mask. She must already be in training by someone in this pack if she was skilled enough to do that at such a young age, and as she drew nearer she caught the scent of Marx and knew that the pup was in good hands. The pup quickly answered as to who she was, “I’m Nova Prospekt. Marx recently took me in as his trainee. And what about yourself Azula? What brought you to Abendrot?” An interesting name, longer than some, and one that the female had never heard before. Her light green orbs looked over the pup with her uniquely colored star gazers, realizing that this pup was not as foolish as most. She spoke like an adult and did not ask foolish questions and act silly like the other pups she had encountered. At least that’s how the pups acted in her old pack before that was beaten out of them. She hoped that Nova Prospekt had not had something horrible like that happen to her, even if in the end it had a good outcome.

”Well Nova Prospekt, there are a few things that brought me here. Something you will learn about myself is that I do not lie and sugarcoat things, if those that ask me questions cannot handle the answers, then they should not have asked.” She did not pause in her speech as some would to give the pup a chance to not hear what she had to had to say, but continued on immediately, knowing if this pup was going to survive here she would have to hear much worse tales than what Azula had to tell. ”The pack I was born in was very different than this one. I was forced to kill my own sister and then bred forcibly by my bother before I was even a teenager. I knew if I stayed where I was that the alphas would take my pups and either kill them or force me to do the act. While I did not grow up in a loving home, I already cared for my young before they were born. So I fled with my brother, and father of my kin. We were separated after being followed by some of the leaders in my old pack, but I was able to escape with my son and daughter, Corde and Felan. Now they are a little older than yourself, but they have had a different upbringing as we were on the run. I know I would not fit in with any pack in Blossom, and I needed to find the right one that would fit my, more aggressive nature. And then we found Abendrot.” Even though her tale was long, she left out many details for the pup, just because it would take too long to tell her whole story. Her green orbs never left the pups face, not ashamed of what had happened to her, nor did she care what Nova Prospekt thought of the tale. ”And what of yourself, what brings you to these cheery parts?” Azula had sat down, audettes still alert to the pup as her plume lazily wrapped around her paws.
