News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

Kalseru
yes. all men must die, but we are not men

She had been waiting excitedly on this day for the past few weeks. When she and Viserion had first come up with the idea of hosting a gathering of all young wolves born the same spring two years before it had seemed almost impossible. However with the encouragement of their mother it seemed they had pulled it off, and been rewarded for their initiative too with the new title of Emissary. Kalseru had practically glowed beneath the praise of Daenerys, so pleased at her children extending the invitation to not only Spirane’s allies but to all packs, for surely these were the wolves that will shape the lands future. Spring came slowest to the Mountain pack, the heights of the peaks still clinging to winter while life bloomed once more at its base, but they could still tell when the seasons turned.

The young mountain princess awoke early on the morning of her second birthday, shifting amongst the tangled limbs and bodies that so littered their den. Blearily glancing around she took in the pile of siblings upon which she slept, the forms of her mother and Jericho curled around one another on the opposite side. It was all a reminder that soon things would be changing, and soon if the size of Daenerys’ stomach was any indication. A dull ache settled in her heart at the thought, for she loved curling up with in the evenings with her family, and especially Rhaegal by her side. Perhaps the siblings could find their own den site, until they found significant others at least. She would pitch the idea to them, but another day for she had to get ready!

Hurriedly she rose, stepping out into the still cool morning light before settling on her rock to clean her glorious fur. It had lengthened in the winter months and she took great care to keep it free of knots and burs, with such cleaning her silky silver hairs nearly glowed platinum in the sunlight. Slowly she licked and pulled at the hairs, soothing the wispy portions that gave her an almost ethereal look into place until each one lay as it should. She was practically finished by the time her brothers were ready to go, her mahogany eyes flicking up from her work as they called for her to come along. “I’ll be right behind you,” she called before giving her coat a few final licks and beginning her decent as well.

Where the boys no doubt barreled headlong down the mountainside in their excitement, Kalseru descended the path to the clearing almost calmly, her dark, dainty paws taking the familiar path wish ease, her gait smooth and flowing with her moon-stroked head held high, like her mothers. She had come far on her journey as a diplomat, but she still knew how beautiful she was and how best to use her graceful form to her advantage. Her silver ears pricked forward as she neared the clearing, already hearing the voices of her brothers mingling with others in greeting and she allowed a light smile to grace her features.

Entering the clearing her moon-rimmed eyes shone brightly as she took in the handful of wolves who had already arrived, none of which she realized almost sadly, though they seemed to know her brothers. In all honesty she hadn’t been the most sociable of wolves, but that was all about to change now. Stepping onto the soft grasses she simply exuded presence in her mostly grown form, her stride long and sweeping as she approached them, enjoying the looks as most of them saw Spirane’s only princess for the first time. She stopped beside her Rhageal, her most trusted of brothers and before two others boys, one of pure white and one who was covered in a deep cinnamon with the most intriguing eyes she had yet to see. She nodded kindly to them both, able to catch Orifel’s introduction though it seemed her brothers were already with the white boy. “Hello Orifel, and to you too,” her eyes shifting to Hyrule, “though you must pardon me for I do not know who you are. I am Kalseru Mountainborn, Princess of Spirane, thank you for coming today,” her final words extended toward the trees as she heard the approach of others of their young age, eager to see who else had accepted their invitation.
