Why he this particular male came she did not know, but it was clear he was not hear to join. Lately it would seem their borders were being filled with wolves that inquired about joining. Why they wished to come did not matter to her. What was important was that each member would be strong and serve the pack well with tolerance and acceptance with all. Out there were lands that were filled with fear from the unknown, with wolves that spoke they could hold tolerance, but their actions did not show it. She would not allow any wolf within her pack feel as if they were wrong or different. No. They would be celebrated and respected. Here was a safe haven a place for any and all wolves to call home so long as they stuck to their version of the status quo. Here any wolf could be as they were without judgement. All she asked was that they did what they could to bring strength and benefits to the pack. They were a well-functioning system and they had no need for anyone that wished to destroy it.
Dark sapphire eyes roamed over the battered wolf taking note that although his wounds were healing they were still recent looking. Half torn ear flicked back and forth as she waited patiently for him to speak taking note that his scent was covered with the taint of the red-eye wolf and the sea. She had never been to the seaside before, but that salty scent was familiar when she was walking along the edges of that particular terrain. As his lips pulled back her thick ebony and grey fur would begin to rise for a moment displeased at his facial motions. His mention of the prisoner Tobias had taken for the beginning of winter was hardly unrecognizable. With a firm nod her cold voice would drip out slowly wondering why he would bother her on such a wolf. The red-eye she-wolf was gone and whatever that wolf did it had nothing to do with her.
“Yes, she was a prisoner during the winter season. Why do you ask?”
