Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

From the first day mom told us we could leave the den, I've been making as many trips out into the pack lands as possible, with or without Samia at my side. Most of the time I drag ehr along because I know she needs some more confidence and how is she going to get it if she doesn't get out in the world and see it for herself? Then again sometimes you just can't drag that girl out of the den when she's sleeping and that's one monster no one wants to see anyway so I leave her be and go out on my own. She only likes to sleep in the safety of our den but I'm so tired of those dirt walls. I need some new views so I take naps out by the river or on the soft sand of the beach. I've been going further and further away from the den every time and getting more and more confident on my adventures. There's just so much to see! I have yet to run across another wolf but I plan on remedying that soon enough.

Sure we've seen them at a distance but nothing close up and I can never get Samia to go too far from the den so there's always a limit on how much I can explore. But today I have the freedom and roam and I'm going to take it. Mom is out hunting and dad is off doing whatever it is dad does so today I get to check out the pack lands all by myself. Or so I thought anyway. When I hear the sudden yip, I pause in my tracks, my whole body tensing instinctively as I look around. What was that? Throwing my head up, I sniff the air, trying to figure it out and when I catch a whiff, I bound toward the smell, eager to test out my tracking abilities. Of course I pull up short when all I see is a butt sticking up in the air, his tail wagging and his paws scrabbling at the earth of the small den before him. What's this? Tilting my head, I come up behind him and sniff at his moving tail. "Hey! Whatcha doin?" I call out.
