Despoina studied Daenerys for a long and hard moment, a blank face covering the smirk that wanted to press through. She did not dare correct the woman who sat before her. No ruler would like to hear that it was not food or nourishment the girl longed to tear apart, but victims. A conscience and a soul told her this desire was wrong, but an exciting fire still fueled the need. Whether it was her own revenge or her extracting it for someone else, she wanted to be the one to land a blow.

A deep breath was released from her nose and she got to her feet, still studying the ruler with a gaze that was most critical. ”I don’t think.... I don’t think there is a place for me here.” She said finally. It did not matter to her that this land was not her home. No thoughts of regret passed through her when she contemplated leaving the mountains or the wolves she had come across in them. Though through their conversation Daenerys had garnered some of Despoina’s grudging (and very teenager-y) respect, she did not feel loyal to the queen. The girl felt as though it would have been in insult to both of them, and the pack, if she did not take her leave. But there was one thing she could not bare the thoughts of.

She was young and she was inexperienced. She would not let that stop her from speaking her mind. Her teeth bared and hackles bristled. “If harm does come to my sister, I will not forgive it…” She calmed herself fairly quickly. In that time, after her barely concealed threat, the face of a worried young girl came unbidden to the surface of her expression. “If I leave...and I promise not to cause trouble...could I still come back and visit Myra?” The youth struggled to keep her tough exterior in place, her shoulders hunched and a glare on her face. No matter the mask she wore, her voice still chimed with a worry that walking out of the packlands meant walking away from her family and all she had ever loved.
