Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

sing the song with the heart of the people

The edge of the sea is unlike any place she had been before. There is a vastness to it that she has yet to meet even in the plains of Asteraia, with miles and miles of rolling grassland. The salty water heaves against the sand before sucking back out, taking what it can with it, like greedy hands. It laps at her paws and leaves a briny stench that she has fast come accustomed to, even enjoyed for the most part. Icy blue eyes close against a sudden breeze that tosses the mist of the ocean against her face and she sighs in a sort of contentment as it dies down and she looks out once more. She had yet to bring the children closer to the edge of the ocean, her motherly instincts forbidding her to do such a thing until they were larger and more prepared to take on the world. The again Samia and Thor were fast growing and inseparable, always spending time together, and she loved watching them when they didn't know. Loved seeing how Thor brought out the courage in her cautious daughter, so unlike Ankh, and how Samia's caution tempered the fire raging within her son. It was a blessing to know all her children were so close, so caring of one another. She missed, suddenly, her own family - Veilia, who had been the bridge between Natu and Warlow and who had died in the natural disaster and Warlow, who had been so distant until he met Mistletoe.

But she had her own family and they kept her busy. She stands now, shaking off the water, and heads back inland to the den she and Fenrir had take up residence in to collect her children. With a grin she comes before the den, spyig the two children romping together on the verdant grass and spotting Fenrir nearby as well. Bypassing the children for now she moves to her mate, pressing her shoulder into his and rubbing her forehead against his chin before licking it. "My heart, let us take the children to the water's edge. It is time that they have some fun and us with them. We will make sure they do not get swept away." She grins now, clearly excited about the idea and not willing to be dissuaded, moves towards Samia and Thor.

"Samia, Thor, come, do you wish to see the ocean today and play in the sand?" Of course they would. Thor would likely be thrilled at the adventure in it and Samia would be okay because she had all of them there with her. Natu glances back at Fenrir, eyes twinkling, and leads the way with a sort of dancing step that mimics Ankh's manners quite a bit.
